Giyuu had seen nothing like it, Ventus was a tribe that was not luxurious or gaudy. It was plain and simple, making it unique. The houses were painted with pastel colours, plain and with little design. The children played with a ball made of tumbleweed, and wore tattered clothes. Everyone stopped what they were doing when they saw Sanemi and the group enter, all of them coming to surround the group, the children screaming and trying to put flower crowns on the omega. Sanemi smiled and greeted them all happily. The crowd parted like water as a prime alpha, with priests on either side of him, came through the crowd.
"Nephew! You're finally back!" The alpha greeted with open arms, Sanemi stiffly hugged the man back, the alpha then turned to Giyuu and bowed slightly.
"I am Shindo Shinungawaza, tribe leader of Ventus. It is a pleasure to meet you, Tomioka-san." He said and Giyuu bowed in response.
"As it is to meet you." Giyuu replied. Shindo smiled and motioned for the two priests to come forward. Both priests had a crown in their hands, one was made of green leaves and flowers while the other was made of rock and wood and a few gems. Sanemi dutifully lowered his head as the priest placed the flower crown on his head and Giyuu did the same for the other crown. The priests asked them both to hold out their hands and they did so, they placed their hands together and the priest wrapped their hands in a white cloth and muttered a small prayer and removed the cloth, Sanemi timidly removed his hand from Giyuu's, already missing the cool touch.
The priests smiled.
"You may proceed to your home." They told and Shindo motioned for them to follow him, Kanae and Sabito trailed close behind. They reached a house which was comparatively larger than the rest in the region, and more well maintained, before Giyuu could utter a word about how cosy it looked, a flurry of children bundled up to the group.
"ONII-CHAN!" They cried and tackled Sanemi onto the floor, each of them hugging him.
"Yeah yeah, I missed you too, you brats." Sanemi chuckled as the children hugged him tighter.
"Onii-chan?" A voice called out and they looked to see an alpha with a mohawk and a scar on his cheek, staring bewildered at Sanemi.
"Yes Genya?" Sanemi questioned, he knew Genya was in charge of taking care of their siblings when he was not around, the brats surely had mad trouble for him. Genya crouched down and pulled Sanemi into a hug, knocking the breath out of his lungs.
"I missed you." Genya whispered and Sanemi chuckled.
"I was only gone for a few months you brat. Did you wuss out that quickly?" The words held no bite, but a playful tone was hinted at in them.
"Yes onii-chan, I did wuss out because Shuya and Hiroshi keep on bullying me." The alpha pouted and Sanemi laughed, the sound pure and delighted.
"Really Genya? You wuss out because out siblings are 'bullying' you? What'd they do anyways?" He asked, amused by his brother's pout.
"Every time I try to speak they throw a glass of water at me." Genya pouts and Sanemi laughs.
"And you don't dodge it?" He asks, playfully teasing his younger brother.
Genya opens his mouth but closes it, he should have dodged the water. Sanemi chuckled and got up, much to the disappointment of his siblings. He motioned to Giyuu.
"This is Tomioka-san, the leader of Aqua. This is Sakonji-san, his right hand man, and this is Kocho-san, the head healer." He said and then turned towards Giyuu and began motioning to each of his siblings.
"This is Genya, Teiko, Hiroshi, Sumi, Shuya and... where's Koto?" Sanemi asks and Genya sighs.
"He's with Ukasama, sleeping." Genya informs them and Sanemi nods.
