Shinaya's POV:

"Shinaya, we are getting late!" Mama's voice sliced through my thoughts, reminding me of the urgency to wrap things up.I glanced at the mirror one last time, smoothing down the edges of my black maxi dress. Its golden wire embroidery added a touch of elegance, trailing delicately along the borders. The dress cascaded down to cover my feet, and I paired it with medium-heeled sandals for both style and comfort.

A few curls framed my face, pinned back neatly to keep them in place. After a quick application of lipstick, I surveyed my reflection, ensuring everything was just right. Satisfied, I made my way downstairs. On the way to Wassal's house, my mind buzzed with thoughts, mostly centered on how to handle the inevitable encounter with him. No matter how hard I tried to avoid it, I knew I wouldn't work.

As the car rolled along the streets, I prepared myself to answer any of the expected questions asked by wassal.

As we stepped into the Kadar mansion, my eyes were met with a sight of simple yet stunning beauty. The entrance was adorned with white flowers, setting a serene tone for what lay beyond. As we made our way inside, a magnificent dim golden light chandelier greeted us, casting an enchanting glow over the opulent surroundings. The walls were adorned with exquisite art pieces, while long luxurious black curtains added an air of sophistication.

Passing through the house, we eventually found ourselves in the extended lawn, where the real festivities awaited. The open arrangement for lunch was impressive, with tables elegantly set aside and sofa sets strategically placed for comfort. Various entertainment options adorned the larger tables, providing guests with amusement throughout the event. The smaller tables, each covered in black cloth and adorned with white flowers, exuded an aura of refined elegance. The main theme of black and gold permeated every corner, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere.

I was standing aside, Mama Baba was talking to some other guests, bhai and Azaan were talking to their friends and I was watching everything with great boredom.

Mahnoor and Maryam also hadn't arrived yet and Aqsa was their political rival so there was no chance she would be there.

I was looking here and there when I saw a boy straight looking at me with a smirk. He was clean-shaven, with messy hair, wearing a plain white shirt with a sleek black two-piece. He had a bottle in his hand, I didn't know what it was until I saw his eyes. They looked sleepy, then I understood it was alcohol or something. He was muttering something to his friends while drinking and was eyeing me. I always dreaded such boys who are so confident while flirting, like girls would die seeing them.

At first, I thought he was looking at someone else, but no he was looking at me, I thought that something was wrong with my dress, maybe it was displaced from its position but everything was fine, then why is he looking at me like this? I question myself.

And then my thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice.

"Checking out boys?" Mahnoor hit me with her elbow and came to stand beside me.

I laughed at her compliment.

"Am I checking them out or are they checking out me? I said with a smirk.

"oooooooo, wesay jitni haseen tum lag rahi ho itna tu banta hai." (well how pretty you look, that's legal) she said hitting me with her elbow.

I couldn't help but laugh at her comments.

"where is Maryam?" she asked me.

before I could answer a voice interrupted us.

"here is Maryam " Maryam said walking towards us. We hugged each other

"oye howe, yahan tu bahar ai howe hai" Mahnoor said to me pointing towards Maryam's baby pink dress.

"aur yahan tu aftain ai howe hain." she said looking at us. we all started laughing at each other's compliments.

Wassal's POV:

I had opted for a black outfit for the party.

Parties like these were typically dull affairs, filled with superficial conversations and forced pleasantries

Parties like these were typically dull affairs, filled with superficial conversations and forced pleasantries. However, this time, it was interesting for me.

After getting ready, I made my way to the lawn where the event was being held. The space was filled with a diverse crowd, including prominent figures from the country's business and political circles. Their welcoming applause echoed through the air as I entered.

Navigating through the sea of faces, I engaged in the obligatory meet-and-greets, all while keeping an eye out to see her.

And then, between the crowd, I spotted her – dressed in black, her long hair cascading down her back, and that janleva muskurahat adorning her face.

She was with her friends as usual but she was talking to...Zawaar???

I clenched my jaw in anger as I noticed her talking to Zawaar.

A surge of anger threatened to consume me, but I controlled myself, refusing to let it show. This was not the time or place to confront him, as much as I wanted to. Excusing myself from the conversation I was in, I made my way straight to her.
