Episode 12

" well-
" it's okay. No one would punish you" he said
" am sorry sir.   it was my best friend" I said
" was she in the hall too" he said
" no, she didn't take the exam- but she was at the hospital so I just texted her the questions " I said
" so you mean a nurse who was not even prepared to write this exam answered all three questions correctly" he said
" yes sir" I said
" what's her name" he said
" Clara. Clara David" I said

Matron Linda's mouth was open in shock

" a senior nurse" he said
" junior" I replied and he was shocked.
" how old is she" he said
" well 20"  I replied
He nodded

Daniella walked into the room with her purse , like she was ready to go. I knew the call would soon End

" I choose Clara " he said  to the matrons and I smiled happily then I bowed to him

" no  no no sir, you don't want to do that,  Clara is-

Ryan already ended the call. Matron Linda fainted on her chair

" this can't happen" she said
" since he chose her, let's just send her" matron Jane said
" send who. Clara David would kill their only child " matron Linda said
" well miss Daniella has the final say remember. You know Ryan gave her the right to choose. She would be the one to interview the chosen nurse and I  just pray she  rejects Clara" matron Jane said
" I hope so" matron Linda added

I rushed down the stairs.

CLARA
I lay flat on the floor, breathing heavily through my mouth. I searched all the children here one after the other , I didn't find my phone

Oh God. I was sweating profusely

Just then a little girl kicked me, I looked at her and she handed me my phone. I started crying

I hugged her then I kissed

" unnie is so grateful " I cried and all the kids laughed

Just then matron Linda walked in

" follow me" she said
I rushed out after her

" you have been chosen to accompany Ryan on his health mission " she said
" what!" I shouted then I looked around
" you Clara. You have been chosen as Ryan's hand nurse" she said
" really!!!" I screamed then I hugged her tight
She smiled
" don't get excited yet. Miss Daniella has the final say. You need to meet her at home for your interview" she said
" ok ma" I said I was still in shock , she handed me the house address then left

Oh my God!!!

I screamed out loud jumping up. Diana rushed over then she hugged me tight. We both laughed happily as she carried me up.

" finally!!! I am so happy for you Clara" she said as she hugged me tight

I was so happy, meeting and working with Ryan has been my only dream ever since I became a nurse. Am going to see my lifetime crush.

Finally she unlocked from the hug then she dragged me into ethans office .

" you are going to meet Daniella right " she said
I nodded in a smile. She untied my hair then scattered it with her fingers.
" what are you doing" I said
" making sure you win this time Clara. There is nothing for you in this hospital, they took all your right away from you. Becoming Ryan's nurse is the only way you would win. After this mission you would return with him to New York,  anywhere there is Ryan there would be Clara. You would go places, meet people and achieve all your dreams in life.  You must become Ryan's nurse Clara , please " she said then smeared her lipstick with her fingers, she applied it by the side of my lips not even on my lips. I looked crazy.

She removed her jacket then made me wear it on top of the jacket I was already wearing, then she smeared a darker shade of foundation on my face- who did she get this from

" Diana I never looked attractive to start  with , now you just made me look hideous " I said

" the better. Run along now. Good luck bestie " she shouted as I ran away from the hospital.

I smiled happily as I walked out, it felt like I was walking on the cloud, I could not believe it.

I happily ran inside the taxi. I can't believe am not just going to see Ryan, I am going to spend 3 months with him.

I laughed happily , in the taxi, I brought out my head and screamed so loud until I could actually believe it.

DANIELLA
I SAT With my dad in the courtyard. I was so anxious and eager as I waited to see Ryan's nurse. Heaven knows I would never accept a girl who is pretty. Never. She must be as ugly as a fowl, so ugly she is irritating. That way Ryan can never look at her.

I don't trust Ryan around pretty things, he cheated on both me and Anna , how can I trust him now that Anna is in coma.

I can't give Ryan the opportunity to notice or fall in love with any other woman apart from me at this time , him living with a woman is so damn risky.

But not to worry, he dislikes ugly women , I would make sure to send the ugliest.

" dad are you okay" I asked my dad as he started coughing

" no dear. " he said

" but you where fine last week " I said

" right? My treatment ended so I started taking my morning tea again, now it feels like my sickness is coming back" he said

" tea? Come on dad you have been taking tea / coffee  since forever. Maybe you just need rest" I said

" I think so too" he said and I watched him drink his tea.

I kissed his cheek then I rushed upstairs. I saw a very ugly looking girl coming in and I was certain she was Ryan's nurse. I smiled happily then I walked into my study.
