Flashback six years ago...

Chenle was twenty when he transferred to a university in Korea, majoring in business. Tantiana University was the best one that his father suggested, and in order to prove himself worthy of a high position in their family's business, Chenle immediately agreed.

It wasn't his first time in the country, but it was his first time flying and settling there to study. He is still doubting his language skills, but Chenle is determined to learn and go back to China to claim what was his.

Pride is what Chenle's been holding on to. He knows his strengths, he is confident, and he definitely knows how to use them.

He met Park Jisung for the second time. Their first time was when Chenle and his family traveled to Korea for a vacation, and he met Jisung at an event. They were just elementary kids at that time.

It was almost a soulmate thing, but they both knew that they were just made to be platonic friends because they really didn't sense a spark between them. Anyway, they became mega best friends after meeting again. They shared a dorm, too.

"This campus is tiresome," Chenle panted as they stopped their morning jog.

"You'll get used to it. The basketball court is still closed. You can go there after an hour," Jisung informed while wiping his sweat.

One thing that Chenle likes about this school is that students are allowed to come inside to work out. Since their classes start in the afternoon, Jisung asked him if he wanted to do morning jogs. Indeed, the size of the campus is ideal for jogging.

"Is there a restroom nearby?"

Jisung pointed at the nearest building. "There's a restroom behind it. I'll just sit on the bench for a moment. My legs are giving up." He plopped on the bench under the big tree with a groan.

Chenle only laughed and tapped his shoulder, then walked in that direction. He did his business and also washed his face in the sink. He felt stinky from all the sweat all over his body, so he will probably drag an exhausted Jisung back to the dorm.

Walking out of the restroom, Chenle swiftly turned to the corner, bumping into someone. He was about to raise his head to apologize, but he never got to say anything but flinch when he came face-to-face with a girl whose hair was all over her face.

"Good god!" Chenle exclaimed, his heartbeat pacing as his eyes scanned the girl. "Are you real?"

"I'm sorry! My paintbrush tangled on my hair," the girl said, relieving the male.

Thank goodness, she wasn't a ghost!

"Uhh, yeah, I can see that," Chenle said, looking at the paintbrush dangling from her hair. "How did it happen anyway?"

"I was finishing a project and fell asleep. I don't remember how this happened." She pointed at her messy hair with a laugh. "Crazy, isn't it?"

"Maybe you painted while sleeping."

"That will be creepy."

Chenle chuckled. He looked down, noticing a scissor on her hand. He looked at her again. "Are you cutting your hair?"
