Sulhee decided to work at home. That way, she can avoid the possibility of meeting Chenle again. She knows she's working hard, and it's funny that she also works hard on avoiding him. Not like she can do it forever, but can you blame her that she's always not ready whenever they'll meet?

Sulhee blames her cowardice. Then again, she still couldn't face the alpha after everything had happened. Even though he didn't get married in the end, he still betted their relationship.

Cali's family is influential too—a perfect partner in business. Not that Sulhee mocks her own family's business status, but she won't deny that the Zhongs and Jos are more fit.
Did Chenle think about that too? That's why he hid it from me? So that I won't be squashed between them?
For what, anyway? Even if Sulhee tried to think of any good reasons why he did that, it's still wrong in all ways.
Hearing the doorbell only made Sulhee put away all her thoughts and immediately attend to the guest.
It was Jeno today who said that he would hand over some other materials that she would work on. It was the right timing, since it was just her and Daehoon in the house, and the baby is longing for a playmate.
Luckily, Jeno fits the bill.
"Where's the baby?" Jeno immediately asked when Sulhee led him to the front door.
She laughed, watching the male run to where the baby was supposed to be. After a few seconds, Daehoon's loud laughs boomed in the space, all thrilled to meet another uncle again.
"I think he gained weight," Jeno commented when he picked the baby up.
"He did. We've been cutting his food intake recently so that he won't be overweight."
"It's his birthday next week," the alpha cooed and booped his nose on the baby's. "Do you have any plans?"
"You're not invited."
Jeno gasped. "Did you hear that, Hoonie? Your mom said he wouldn't invite the best uncle ever."
"Yushi will pounce on you if he hears that." Sulhee laughed and sat beside him on the sofa. "I'm planning a small birthday party. Just family and friends. You're invited, of course, overdramatic human."
"Me, Karina, Renjun?" Jeno trailed. "What about the other two?"
"You talk like you're close to them."
"I've met Renjun once; he's fine. I meant Jisung and he-who-must-not-be-named."
Sulhee snorted. "His name is not strictly banned lately."
"Mhm, so Chenle."
Sulhee glared, making the male laugh.
