Advik's POV

"6 am Monday morning. It would be sunny today. Best of luck for your first day in office, Advik." The robotic voice ranted as I got out of my bed.

I came back from California just 2 days ago and here I am. Dad already warned me yesterday, if I didn't stand up to his expectations. Vedhika will be declared as CEO. 3 months, to prove myself. Is that even enough? Might be. And along with that I have to oversee my music company. I can't abandon it in between. I haven't yet told dad. And I won't till I can prove myself. I can create something out of scratch just like he did.

I stare at the walls for minutes before getting out of my bed. And got ready for taking over the world, company I mean. I would have to get up eventually. Finally got up to and my eyes landed on my mirror and my eyes were stuck.

"The day is all mine." I whistled.

I took a hot shower for an hour

I took a hot shower for an hour. Yes an hour. Not my fault if you don't understand.

I walked slow through the stairs noticing the calmness in air. Where is everyone? Mom? Dad? Vedhika? How is it so calm today?

"Excuse me? May I ask where is mom?" I asked the maid preparing breakfast in kitchen who flinched at my voice.

"Good morning, Sir. Mrs. Ahraya had to go to Delhi due to some emergency last night."

"Oh.....Thank you."

"Sir your breakfast is ready." The maid timidly called behind me. Her feet curling. Was I scaring her or what? I silently moved to dining table and was about to serve before she extended her hand to serve. Damn. I have been living in California for 5 years that I have been so self-dependent. I have learned cooking to cleaning everything. Of course, I could afford 20 servants hovering around. But I wanted to learn for myself. I finished my breakfast as the maid waited in the kitchen.

Before getting out of house. For one last time I looked at mirror, running a hand through my hairs.

"Perfect." I muttered to myself.

Call it self-obsession or anything. I am addicted to myself.
