Advik's POV

The doorbell rang and I knew who it was. I was playing PS-5 with Mann, and he kicked me as the doorbell rang and I threw the console at him.

"20 second mei sab saaf hona chahie."

I opened the gate and Arya waved at me with a wide smile. I opened the gate waving at her and gestured to get inside.

We moved to the hall; it was clean. All empty. As I expected.

"Sit nah" I asked gesturing both of them to couches.

"Sure" Arya uttered siting and Navi sat silently.

I saw her smile in cafe for first time. She seemed a serious kind of girl. Her eyes glued to floor her brown eyes reflecting the bright light. Her white dupatta wrapped around her hand, her hair locks covering her eyes occasionally. Her brown skin shining bright. The only word in my mind- mesmerizing. She literally resembles an angel. But the angel not in my fate maybe.

"Are you always this silent?" I asked Navi handing a glass of water.

"Jeevan se tang aa gye ho kya? Jo soe hue shaitaan ko jaga rahe ho." Arya whispered underneath her breath taking a sip of water. She very well knew I heard it right.

"Hein?"

"Aap chai lenge ya coffee?" Arya uttered confidently keeping the glass on place.

"Ye toh muje puchna chahie." I raised my eyebrow.

"Haa toh puchiye nahh." Arya leaned back in her chair. Mann entered the room and he stopped at entrance looking at us.

"Mann 4 coffee le aa nah please."

His face disgusted, wanting to punch but he looked at girls then me and turned back. But Arya called back.

"Mai chai lungi."

Mann turned in frustration.

"No need. We are here to discuss the project, concentrate on that." Navi uttered looking at his sada hua face. I was about to get off my seat to make coffee before she interrupted and gestured with her eyes to sit.

"I will help you. But keep it professional. I don't want any chaos; Vedhika is my friend. I don't want any public appearance in this project." Navi uttered in a serious tone. And raised her eyebrow waiting for my response.

"How would you work then?"

"No need to worry about that. I will help you with everything. And I will keep an eye on presentation too."

"Are you sure it will work that way?"

"Mr. Advik you can trust me with it. I work with perfection. And I can very well assure you will get the project." Navi stared deep into my eyes. Her penetrating gaze making me flinch in my seat. All I could see was her brown eyes staring back into mine, her lips little parted.

"I will see that, Miss Navi." I stared back composing myself. I don't believe in perfection. Enjoy the process. Perfection ka kya h? Kisi ki nazro mei jo perfect h dusre ki nazar se dekho trash h. Kaam apne lie karo and enjoy each and every thing. Winning or losing should be our least concern. I am no the perfectionist, nagging guy with anger issues. I know how life works. And I very well know how to align with and enjoy the imperfection. And that was when I noticed how keenly Arya was enjoying the intensity of the moment.

"Ha ye karlo tum, ruke kyu ho kiss bhi kar lo. Faltu mei kabab mei haddi ban gyi ab yha dinner ki jagah inki asleel harkato ka shikar ho jaungi." Arya cussed underneath her breath again sipping on water. Truly that was moment I realized Mann already left and Arya was also present there.

"We shall start from tomorrow itself than. And for team recruitment..........."

"I will do that all." Navi interrupted. Ha ha sab kar legi Mohtarma. Mai jake so jau?

"Fine then, dinner?" I said getting up.

My dogs came running in the hallway. Mobi, a German Shephard and Luna, a mixed husky. Navi shouted standing on the couch. My dogs keenly ready to attack her for that move.

"Mai toh kabse usi ka wait kar rahi thi." Arya got up excited.

"Ye khana aapne banaya h?" Arya asked following me to dining table. Navi hushing her. But she kept up with her chatter.

"Yeah." I answered and Mann's eye widened in disbelief. Cursing me inside his mind.

"Me and Mann" I added.

"Ye Nawab jade cook bhi kar lete h? Muje toh laga bas logo ko hi pakane ka talent h inke paas."

"Tumhri trah talentless toh nhi hu." Mann mocked her.

My dogs came running in the hallway. Mobi, a German Shephard and Luna, a mixed husky. Navi shouted standing on the couch. My dogs keenly ready to attack her for that move.

"Mobi, Luna sit down." I shouted pulling Navi down into a hug. I pulled Navi down onto the couch with me, wrapping my arms around her trembling form. Her chest heaved with sobs and her hands shook as she clutched onto my shoulders. I could feel the way her body radiated heat, the proximity between us causing a spark of electricity to run through me. The delicate embroidery on the sleeves of her dress grazed against my bare hand.

As I tried to calm Navi down, Luna finally caught up to Arya and chased her out of the room. I called out to Luna again, rubbing my hand soothingly on Navi's forearm. Despite the chaos unfolding around us, I couldn't deny the way my body reacted to Navi's presence - it seemed like we were drawn to each other like magnets.

"Luna stop right now." I shouted rubbing my hand on Navi's forearm still shivering. I can't fall for her. I can't. I slowly pulled her. She looked traumatized.

Arya screaming in the other room. Luna barking. Mann shouting at Luna. They are going to destroy the room today. I grabbed my temples.

"Pakad lo nah yrr ise. I swear aaj ke baad apko tang nhi karungi." Arya begging.

"Luna stop." Mann shouting. Let them deal themselves. I gestured Navi to take deep breathes and looked at baby German Shephard sitting there silently.

"Mobi, room mei jao abhi. And Luna ko bhi lete jaana." I patted Mobi and he left.

Navi moved to dining table silently and the rest time passed listening to Arya and Mann fighting. Navi was continuously glaring at Arya. I was quite enjoying the show honestly. I like drama. Interesting.

A heel penetrated through my feet. I resisted the urge to shout as I looked down. It was Navi's feet.

"Dekh kar maro nahh yaar. Maine kya bigada h tumhara. Muje kyu toda?" I whispered to her with deep exhales.

"Dekh kar mara tabhi toh apko laga." Arya uttered. Navi shot daggers with her eyes, and she giggled with her eyes glued to floor.

"I am sorry. I ...It was for Arya." She fumbled.

"Jada toh nahi lagi nahh?" Navi uttered with her eyes on my shoes.

"Nhi jada nahi bahot jada lagi h." Mann teased.

"ICU le jana padega. Pata nhi kitni haddiya tut gyi hongi." Arya added.

"Aur hospital bill pay karegi Navi." I added. And she smirked.

Th rest dinner passed in silence. Navi shot daggers at Arya. And she entertained Mann.

"Enjoy washing the dishes sir." Arya uttered turning back mocking Mann before leaving. Mann slammed the door behind them.
