Navi's POV

"I bet.... my lips taste even better." Adi's words sent a jolt of electricity through my body, igniting a fire in my stomach. I could feel his breath on my skin as he leaned closer.

"Huh" I mushed breathing heavily.

"It has been good 2 minutes since your finger was on my lips. So, I thought I should remind you. You can do more than just touching...." His last words turned into whispers as his lips grazed my ears.

My cheeks burned with embarrassment and arousal at his boldness.

I pushed him at once and sat up, struggling not to blush. I couldn't help but notice how effortlessly charming he was. His eyes roamed over my face, taking in every detail as if memorizing it handing me the cup of coffee.

When he bent down to pick up a book, I couldn't tear my gaze away from his muscular back and broad shoulders.

But then, my eyes landed on the book and I felt a twinge of self-consciousness. How could someone like Adi be interested in someone like me? He was intelligent, confident, and well-read while I struggled to hide my true passions.

He got up and looked at my bookshelf. I buried my face in the pillow, unable to take the pressure of secondhand embarrassment any longer.

"Now I see, how come you are so intelligent." I buried my face in the pillow even deeper wanting to disappear in it. "Recommend me some too."

"I don't read nonfiction" I muttered; my face still buried in pillow. I can't take this secondhand embarrassment anymore.

"Wo black color wali horror book try kariye nah. I am sure you will love it. Navi ki bhi favorite hai." Arya's voice broke through my thoughts. Adi's laugh rang out in the room, making me want to crawl into a hole and disappear.

Author's POV

"Navi ko toh ye book  itni pasand hai ki isne ye same book 18 baar padhi  hai. Can u even believe?" Arya exaggerated. And he giggled at her tone.

"Hmm then this is a must read. And I have always wanted to read a horror book anyhow. Can I borrow........?" His last words froze in my throat as I watched Navi falling.

"Navi" Advik shouted running to her and scooping her in my arms before she could fall. I placed her on couch slowly and rubbed her wrists. Arya sat down beside me.

"Jaldi paani lekar aao." Arya mushed in a concerned heavy voice. Adi got up with a swift move and ran to kitchen.

Navi opened her eyes slowly looking at him struggling in kitchen. "Kutti kamini gadhi. You are going to pay for this." Arya's eyes widened in a shock for a minute but turned to a mischievous smile as Advik came with a glass of water. He sprinkled few drops of water on her face.

Arya took the glass from him and turned the glass upside down on Navi's face before she could open her eyes.

"Ye kya kia?" Advik shouted within seconds.

"Aaaaah" Navi's voice rang as she sat up in a moment out of reflex move.

Navi cleaned her eyes unable to open. Advik took out his hankey and gently wiped her face. His hand slowed around her lips. Their eyes met and she bites her lip. But looks at Arya and rolls her eyes, making Advik smile at himself.

"Where is your room?" Adi asked as she held her folding her legs. Arya pointed to a room with her froze reaction.

Adi scoops her swiftly like she was weightless. His heartbeat clearly audible to her ears. Slow and stable while she even struggled to breathe around him. It was almost becoming impossible for her to stop body from reacting to his touch.
