Oh shit. I must've switched up the keys with Ry when we had met 2 days ago.

"Lav! Can you please open the door!" I yell.

I bang on the door after not hearing her respond back. I mean she was usually awake during the evening.

I had just gone on a walk after sitting at home for two days.

"Lavender!" I yell again.

This time I shove my shoulder against the door knowing it's no use.

Maybe she was in the garden?

I bring my hand up to knock on the door again and it swings wide open.

My jaw drops in seeing what she's wearing.

She's back into the academy uniform only the one she has on is brand new.

Her brown hair is neatly curled on her shoulders with the pink streaks now having turned green out of all the colors. All of the bruises and cuts she had were completely gone. Even her skin was back to how it was before the tests.

The only major odd thing other than the hair was her irises were purple and the eye liner she had on earlier was all smudged as if she was crying.

"What the hell?! Lav are you okay? Why are you wearing that garbage?!"

I rush inside and lock the door behind me.

"We have to go back Ariyah." she says before covering her mouth and letting tears fall down her face.

"I told you that I don't want that name to be used Lav."

That was the name my parents gave me and only a few people knew about it. It had taken a lot of energy and time to illegally change my name to not be associated with the rest of my family who had been taken.

She buckles down and her hands start shaking.

I kneel besides her and try to stop her hands from shaking.

"Everything will be alright Lav. We don't have to go back. They still haven't found us. Hell we'll both move to a different place if they figure out about our whereabouts."

From her position she then lets go of my hands and stands up. Her steps move backwards away from me.

What the hell was happening to her? Did I do something wrong?

I get up and take a step towards her and she moves back.

"I'm freaking out here Lav. What's going on?"

"It's too late Ari." she says quietly.

And before I can reach out to her someone appears right behind her in a black mage outfit.

"Get away from her!" I scream.

I go towards her and she disappears out of sight with only the mage standing there by themself.

The hood drops and I stare right into a man's eyes who smirks at me.

"Ah we finally get to introduce ourselves with our real names. Don't worry about your friend. That was just a projection of her. The real her is sound asleep on the way back to the academy."

"Go to hell." I say before turning around to head back out the door.

Out of nowhere the air grabs my chin and forces me to look back at him.

I try looking back but an arm envelopes my waist and a body pushes against me restricting me from turning.

"You have already disrespected one of the professors. Would you like me to create a black list for you, Aurora?" the person behind me says.
