"You can take a seat." the heir tells the both of us.
I sink into the silk cushioned sofa and start to fumble with the edges of my dress.
"So-"
He holds up his freaking hand and motions me to be quiet.
"Cas, if you want the room next to me is free you can take the girl there and talk to her."
My eyes widen and Ry lets out a sob as she clamps down on my arm.
I start mixing up a few spells Lav had taught in hopes of giving her bleed out to me so she could be prepared to fight on Cassian.
The pain rushes towards me a few moments later when I can feel the opening of a wound in my stomach.
I double over and cough if off hoping their attention would be diverted.
"Get up Rae we have to speak." Cassian tells her with his hand out for her to hold.
She clutches her stomach and must realize what had happened when she looks over at my face.
I would say I have a good neutral face but she was one of the few people who could crack it.
"Actually Cassian I think I'm going to head home. We can talk another day." Ry says while getting up.
Cassian gets up as well, "I'll see you later Alex."
"Ari." Ry whimpers at me and I get up with a wave of dizziness as I walk towards her.
"Cassian please don't do this. She already told you that she doesn't- "
The heir yanks my arm towards him and I stumble into his chest putting as much as pressure as I can on the wound that would break through my healing wall any second.
"Cas go ahead."
What the hell??
I break out of his hold to face him even though I hate looking at those eyes.
"It's her choice! Who freaking cares if you will rule this place. You don't get individual rights... Like hell you aren't even the king yet!" I exclaim.
All he does it stare at me with the most judgmental look ever.
Cassian grabs Ry's arm and leaves to the room next to her.
I'm too late as I try reaching out for her and then hear the inaudible ripp of my healing wall as the blood seeps through my green dress.
Shit. I couldn't explain or show this to the guy behind me.
I keep my back towards him and ask for where the bathroom is.
"My friend might have the tolerance for keeping up with being avoided but that doesn't work with me. What-"
He steps in front of me and I whip back into the direction that he was just facing.
Ouch this stomach was really starting to test my pain levels.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?!! I'm spending my time here to talk to you and your just-"
I whip around and lash out at him.
"Oh well I'm sooo sorry your majesty that I'm so ungrateful for your precious time that I so very much wanted to freaking waste in the first place!" I scream.
I'm so out of it and fed up with his words that I don't even realize that I'm facing him while he's looking at the red liquid that's soaking up my dress from the mid region n below.
He runs his hand through his hair before clenching and unclenching his hands as he starts pacing back n forth.
"Go take a seat on the couch." he finally says after stopping his pacing.
My jaw drops open as I want to know if I heard him right.
He was just going to ignore that a girl was bleeding out on his floor??
"No. You tell me where the bathroom is if you don't want your fancy carpet to get ruined." I say stubbornly.
I think I just hear him say "alright then" under his breath and in the next second I'm literally thrown on the couch through elemental force.
"I'm pretty sure it forbidden to use such spells when there isn't an emergency." I say.
He strides over and sits next to where I am while taking off his robe and sash.
"Uhh... What are you doing?"
"Pull your dress down so I can see the wound and fix it."
I inch away from him and he rolls his eyes.
"Just tell me what you would do and I'll-
"And how do you plan on doing it? These aren't spells that you learn overnight. It's not taught till you pass the exams after having done your-. The hell-? I'm not explaining myself to you. Do it or I'll just tear your dress."
Like I would show myself to someone I hated and didn't even know. So I cross my hands over my chest and don't budge.
I was internally dying though as I grew more light-headed and out of breath.
He yanks it down from the top till the dress had pooled around the starting of my hips.
Thankfully I had another bodice under the dress that didn't reach my stomach as he plunges his fingers into the opening of my wound.
I let out a scream as I feel him going deeper than the wound actually is.
I bite down hard into my hand to muffle the sound as he mutters spells under his breath.
After what seems like ages, he removes his bloody hand from my stomach and glares at me with anger.
"Why t-the he-e-ll ar-r-e you looking a-at me like tha-at?" I say in between my breaths.
"You can be thrown in jail for what you just did. What the fuck were you thinking when you did an injury transferation spell? That's used in war. How the hell did you break the castles locked... You know what? You either tell me or I'm not closing the wound." he says by crossing his bloody hand with his clean hand.
I grit down in pain as I rip a part of the bottom of the dress and wrap it over tightly on the stomach before pulling up my dress.
No way was I going to tell him about what I could do or explain my friends were learning things they weren't supposed to.
"I'll manage." I grit out before wobbling straight towards the exit.
