You can't find me

Chapter 11

Let's just say during these three days many things had happened. 

I had almost drowned, gotten close to killing a person, gotten pranked numerous times (none of them close to being hilarious), gone on a hunger strike (still on it), lost a friend (Luca had officially gone missing from the academy, or at least that's what the staff says) and been ridiculed. And by the way that was barely a portion of the list. 

Today was the last day and in a few hours our sessions would be over and we would be going home. 

There was nothing more that I wanted then being as far away as possible from this place. 

I was dressed in the stupid uniform and my brown wavy hair needed to be put up. I barely had gotten sleep and was planning to dose off after being ready for when they next called me. 

Which could be anytime. 

Staring at myself in the mirror, I pitied myself. I had deep eye bags where a purple line was forming under my eyes, my face had sunken in, my green eyes had lost their shine and now were looking violet or that was just me hallucinating. 

"Ms. Valentino, your presence has been requested in Greenwood manor. I repeat, Ms. Valentino, your presence has been requested in Greenwood manor." 

Ughh the freaking intercoms couldn't even shut up at 5 am in the morning. 

I groan and get off the bed in which my legs collapse to the ground from exhaustion.

 These dueling's is going to kill me one of these days. 

I put on my boots and then wobble towards the door to head to the manor. 

I stop at Lav's room and look to see her doors wide open and all of her stuff is gone.

Where did she go?  Please don't let me be the only one to face one of the teachers wrath. 

After reaching there I fall into one of the sits to cherish the little rest I will have before they have me up and running. 

A man who I have never seen before enters in mage attire and smiles at me. 

Wait what??

Someone at this academy SMILED at me? 

I definitely needed more sleep. 

Stop it delusional mind that can't ever happen. Smiling is something these people are physically uncapable of. 

"Congratulations Ms. Aurora! You have passed all of our examinations and trials. Our academy welcomes you as you have been selected for our rising batch of students this upcoming school year!"

My jaw drops and I know I have definitely misheard him. I pinch myself to make sure I'm still awake. Maybe I'm getting daymares now instead of nightmares. 

I couldn't handle staying here for another day. Forget a day. I wanted to be on my way home right now. Living here would never be an option. 

"Thank you sir. But I think there may be a misunderstanding. I know for sure I failed all those tests."

"No misunderstandings here, Ms. Aurora. And don't think so lowly of yourself. In fact you did so well that your scores were even higher than contestants who have been practicing for these exams since a young age. You should be very proud of yourself. I have someone collecting your admission papers and your guide of what your next steps will be. You will be transferred to another room which I'm sure you will love."

Why couldn't I have messed up on some of those exams? Or better off all of them?

"But sir I would like to go home. My family is waiting for me. I also terribly miss them. Can't this be discussed any other time?"

"You don't have to worry about that, child. Arrangements for your families stay and all their necessities will be arranged. They will have a new home near the academy and you can visit them whenever you want. In fact this will open many doors for their own betterment as well since one of their own has proven themselves to be an elite." 

I had to escape this place as fast as possible! 

But howw?
