You can't find me

Chapter 33

Ari's POV

"You know the guy who said he was your brother..?" Ry tells me as we walk up the steep path of a some mountain. 

I look back at her with a confused expression. 

"Yeah.. We should contact him, maybe he could help us out. I vaguely remember Adrian, he must've already been going to school when I came along." I say. 

I let out a breath as we reach the top with nothing but animals and a bunch of plant-life around us. 

"I was thinking that too. I could try hailing him but can random people track other people's calls? Or what if he is working for the royals? He has been with them for yearss now." she questions. 

I sit down on a log and throw off my bag next to me and Ry follows. 

"That's true. But if he is as powerful as you said he is, maybe he could find us on his own? Hopefully before others we don't want to see, find us." 

*ringer going off*

I look down on my arm and see an incoming call from Lav. Ry looks at me and motions me to pick it up and scoots closer to listen in. 

"Hey Lav, how are you?" I say. 

"Girl where the heck are you?? One second your in the ball with me and the next your gone? Keep me in the loop here. Is Ry with you? She hasn't been seen in her room either."

"What should I tell her?" I mouth to Ry. 

"Say as little as you can. Tell her your not with me."

"I left the city for a while Lav. That area was frustrating the hell out of me. As for Ry we were together for a while but then she had different priorities than I did." 

"Ask her where she is Lav." someone whispers in the back.

It does sound like a familiar voice.. Ry raises an eyebrow to me and mouths "Cora"?

"Cora is that you? Why didn't you say hii." I let out chuckle. 

Probably didn't think we would recognize her. 

We hear her clear her throat before she talks "Arii, can you come back as soon as possible all the trainee guards have been issued to look for you and Ry. What did you two do to piss of high ranking officials?" 

"Will come back when I'm ready Cora. Please don't say that you've heard from us. And as for pissing them off, when have I not, these past few years?" I say in a pissed off tone to make her get me. 

She's about to respond but Lav interrupts her. 

"Lucca was here Ari. He said he just came back from his old house. Please don't force him to choose between his duty and his friendship. I know for a fact if he really does try looking for you, it won't take him long. He's been assigned as one of the leads for the trainees." 

I put a hand over Ry's mouth before she makes a sound and respond back to Lav. 

"I gotta go now. I'll come back soon. Take care you too." and hang up before they can say anything else. 

Ry takes my hand away from her mouth and stands up. 

"What the fuck?? Does someone know we know him or something? How the hell is he one of the leads and also assigned to look for us?" she exclaims. 

I run my hands through my long hair and yank on the ends. 

"Ugh he's dating an elite. Probably got some perks-"

"HE'S WHAAAAAAAAAT?!!" she screams while looking at me. 

Ah yeah probably shouldn't have told her that yet. 

"Elite guys are fucking assholes, the girl elites break the bitchiness scale. How the hell did that happen?! And why didn't he tell me I-"

"Calm down Ry. He knew it would freak you out." 

"Like the hell it wouldn't?! Those devils got no ounce of sympathy in them." 

I shake my head. 

"Forget about all of that. Maybe we should just face this and go back. I would never want to make him choose between his duty and us." 

"But he'll choose us right-"

I roll my eyes at her response. 

"You don't know the pressure he has. Being the boyfriend of a girl who's dad is one of the most highest ranked commanders for the royale army? It's no joke." 

I thought I had recognized the carriage we saw when we were leaving his house... It was indeed someone who was high up in the army chain.

"Goddamn it. Let's head on back then." she says with a sigh. 

I pull up a reflection spell and stare at myself. 

I looked so different in these past few days and I hadn't even done anything for that to happen. 

My entire hair was a very dark shade of red and my green eyes had a tint of black to them. Even my eyelashes had grown longer, my skin was paler and my hair was wavier than before. 

Ry came up from behind and stood in the reflection cast with her fake hair. 

"Yeah, so what you look like, isn't normal and I have a feeling we can't ask a nobody for help in this."

"For now dark brown hair powder will do. I'll wear tinted eye glasses. As for you, take off your disguise now I guess, before you need to come up with a new one for the future." I explain.

In a snap she goes back to being a blonde and puts her hair in a braid before putting her mage cloak up. 

"All ready to go back to hell!" she says with the most fakest smile ever.

I fix my own attire before we pick up our bags to head to the city.
