Chase
I sighed softly arriving at the long brown wooden doors about to knock when suddenly they were swung open.
"I will tell Father of your schemes." Matthew said pointing at the boss, Brycen. Matthew was his older brother and he ruled the other side. His sparkly and bright attire made me wish to puke."Go on. I don't care." Brycen said. The angel growled then stormed past me. "Chase? What are you doing here?" The boss asked.
"Uh... I just collected a soul to add to the one thousand souls I had before. Now, I am in desperate need to do something else." I gloated casually."Something else?" Brycen echoed perplexed. "Did you finish your rounds?"
"Yes." I replied not turning to him and was examining my nails.
"Did you ruin your group's schedule?" Brycen asked.
"Yes." I replied within a heartbeat.
"Did you tempt them?"
"Successfully."Brycen paused for a moment.
"How many souls did you collect today and do you have any other promises?" He asked folding his arms across his chest. I chuckled softly then turned to him with a smirk.
"Today alone I collected twelve souls. I have twenty and counting other souls to collect some time later." I explained. His face fell then he lowered his eyes.
"You're excellent." He said not turning to me. "The trial is to only open in four months. Matthew is still struggling to find suitable candidates to replace him."
"What about you?" I asked. The boss smirked.
"Nice try Chase but you won't be getting a single clue out of me." He said making my heart drop. "But you are working too hard. What you can do now is go to a party."
"A party?" I echoed in disbelief.Brycen nodded.
"Take Oliver with you. Both of you need to go to party like a rockstar." He pumped his left hand up while saying that. I stared at him incredulously.
"We cannot go to a party boss. There is a lot that needs to be done." I said."Like what?" He asked within a heartbeat.
"...uh..." I had no answer. I gulped and remained quiet while the boss chuckled softly.
"Go have fun Chase." He said."There is no party held around here." I said.
"Then turn to be a human and go to the human world with Oliver." Brycen said. He stepped back inside his office while I stared at the thin air where he was initially unsure what to do next. I spent almost my whole life just honing myself, but now I had nothing to do. I guess going to a party won't be a problem.–––––––––––––––
