Chase

Furious would be an understatement. If it weren't for his brother or the problem we were facing we would have all been dead.

They both remained to try and fix things while the three of us along with Matthew were putting our brains together on how to attack the neutral one and save Damian because he could not be killed or else we were going to face some serious problems.

The first problem was that we had no idea where did they take Damian exactly.
"This feels like a wild goose chase." Rachel said.

I bit my bottom lip while looking at the world map having no idea where to begin looking.
"Wait. Damian did explain that we can track his location through his phone." Oliver said.
"Through his phone?" Matthew echoed wrinkling his eyebrows.

Rachel's face lit up with recognition and she leaned forward from her seat.
"Oh yeah. He once said that his stepmother installed an app that can track his location." She explained.

"Do you think the neutral one would still be in this world?" I asked.
"Most likely." Matthew replied. "From what Lucifer and his brother explained about the island we could find it within the Earth's vicinity. My guess is that the neutral one may have put up a veil or a force field to prevent both of them to send for help before." He explained.

"I guess that makes sense." I said lowering my eyes.
"So, do we approach the stepmother?" Oliver asked. The four of us exchanged glances.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––

"Oh." Cried a man who had Damian's features, but he had stormy grey eyes instead of blue eyes like he did and he was older.

He was taken aback to see us all standing in front of his front door in our human form.

Matthew cleared his throat after an awkward pause.
"Good day to you sir. We are friends of your son Damian." He said.

"He is extremely devastated because on our way back from school some people stole his phone." Rachel said.

"We were hoping to seek assistance from his stepmother in order to find it." I said.
"We do care about him." Oliver said.

"Yeah." We all murmured and nodded simultaneously. Mister Miller stared at us in disbelief with his jaw falling. He took a step back then turned to his right.
"Felicity!" He called.

                             💀

Damian

After what seemed like I was sleeping for an eternity I opened my eyes. Initially, the surroundings were all a blur and they didn't seem familiar.

I closed my eyes in hopes that will adjust my vision. However, a bucket of cold water was thrown on my face.

I shivered then turned to the person who did it. Malcolm.
"It's about fucking time you woke up." He stated throwing the empty bucket to his left.

My eyes followed it then they ran around the place. It seemed like I was locked up in a room with only one door up the short stairs. There was no window and the place was heavily dim.

I attempted to move but I quickly realized that my wrists and ankles were chained to the wall behind me. My bracelet was gone.
"What's going on?" I asked turning to the devil.

His calm demeanor did catch me by surprise.
"I'm a pawn in this game and you're just dragged in it." He replied.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked with a narrowed look then tried to break the chains hoping that the wall will weaken, but it was useless.

I grunted while turning to the chains and saw them still in place holding me down. "Just what the fuck is going on Malcolm?" I asked turning to him again.

He rolled his eyes.
"Oh relax." He said taking out the bracelet from the pockets of his black coat. It glowed black for a few minutes before it dimmed out and was back to normal. "How about I tell you a little story?" He asked.

I narrowed my eyes.
"No." I replied. "Get me out of these fucking chains." He turned to them languidly and shrugged.
"Then how will Chase and the others find you?" He asked.

"What do you want?" I asked.
"To tell you a story." He replied within a heartbeat. "I did say so in the beginning, remember?"

I gritted my teeth and realized that he had the upper hand in that situation. I didn't.

"Once upon a time there was a devil that worshipped Lucifer more than anything. He was extremely loyal and always worked harder than any other devil." He explained.

"I still don't give a fuck about this story." I deadpanned feeling bored out of my wit's. Malcolm frowned and used his devil fork to inflict a burning sensation around my body.

I winced moving around in agony while he smirked.
"I don't care if you do or not." He said.
"You sick piece of shit." I hissed through gritted teeth as the burn got worse.

For a moment I had thought I was dying and I would've chosen that option instead of that torture.

The devil seemed to have enjoyed it, although, there was no surprise there. He was a devil after all.

"As I was saying," the burn had subsided but the remnants of the pain was still haunting me. I only narrowed my eyes at Malcolm afraid that he might try again since he had the upper hand.

"the devil never failed Lucifer once, but how did he repay him? By ridiculing him constantly and never respecting him back." He went on.

"I always knew that I would rule hell better than he did. I then joined alliance with someone who hated him just as much as I did. The neutral one." He explained then turned to walk to a small round table that was a few feet away.

I quietly watched as he poured himself a glass of wine then turned to me after taking a sip.

"And of course, we couldn't just change hell only the other side had to be affected too. We sent both the leaders to an unknown island while lying to everyone saying that they left." He explained.
"I'm just confused why you're a council member." I said dryly.

Malcolm chuckled as he was drinking his red wine.
"Oh. I'm not interested in the throne even though I would have been a better leader. I just want to hurt Lucifer. Make him go down on his knees and cry while he can only watch as his Kingdom crumble." He replied.

"Though, my money was on you killing Matthew instead of Brycen, but the neutral one did explain that you're one brave guy and will refuse to die one way or another." Malcolm said then sighed casually.

"So, we began to tarnish your health with the power that was sealed in this bracelet." He began turning to the object in his hand. I wrinkled my eyebrows then felt excruciating pain in my stomach. I then began to cough out some blood suddenly. I widened my eyes in shock while gasping shakily.

"By slowly poisoning you. You were going to die one way or another Damian. Unfortunately." Malcolm said.

"And after you do then I can easily erase the world's existence because of the chaos with you as the leader of hell while you're human." A different voice said.

The figure climbed down the stairs and smirked at me. I widened my eyes in shock.
