Damian

I sighed heavily while going through the paperwork. My phone suddenly rang and I answered it without looking at the caller ID.

"Hello Damian." He creepily said. Even though we were dating for five years he often scared me like that sometimes, but in a way that I found him more attractive.

"Hello?" I skeptically said.
"Have you forgotten that we're dating? You haven't called or texted me in two days." Chase explained.

I flinched.
"I'm so sorry. I was just single for so long." I said. "Did you eat yet?" I asked.
"No." My boyfriend replied. "I'm assuming you didn't too, right?" He asked.

"There's just been a deadline Chase and –"
"And nothing. You're working way too hard Damian." My boyfriend said heckling me. "Why are the employees there?" He asked.

I was now the CEO of an advertising company.
"To work. Just like me Chase." I replied.

I imagined him rolling his eyes because he hated it when I always proved him wrong.
"I'm taking you out for lunch." He said.
"No. I'm sorry but I really can't." I said.

"It wasn't a request Damian." My boyfriend said. "I will come over there and drag you out myself."
"Excuse me, who is the boss here?" I asked.
"Who is the devil here?" Chase asked within a heartbeat.

Now, I rolled my eyes.
"Fine." I said. "But I can only stay for an hour."
"That's alright. I'm already outside." Chase said.

I widened my eyes in shock then turned to look out the window behind me to see him leaning against my car. When we made eye contact he winked knowing very well that always made my knees weak.

I hang up then informed my PA that I was going out to lunch before approaching my boyfriend who was holding two brown bags which I assumed was our lunch.

"You look sexy." He said.
"Even though I don't feel sexy." I said hugging him warmly because I desperately needed him. "But thank you. You look sexy too."
"I know." Chase said then chuckled while I rolled my eyes. "I love you." He said.

I widened my eyes in shock then turned to him.
"What did you say?" I asked. He smiled and cupped my chin.
"I love you Damian Miller." He said fondly making my heart melt. "Now say it back human." He commanded after giving me my own brown bag.

I pretended to think.
"I love... broccoli." I said then swallowed a laugh because of his shocked face.
"Broccoli?" He echoed incredulously. "It's disgusting."
"I think you mean delicious." I rectified him.

Chase rolled his eyes.
"Any day now." He said.
"Okay, okay. I love..." I pretended to think again.
"Oh forget it." My boyfriend said while turning to walk away. I chuckled and held his hand.
"Wait Chase. Come back." I said. "I love you." He smiled and I leaned forward to kiss him. He didn't hesitate to return the kiss.

A/N: That's the end of the story. Thank you so much for reading it and I hope you enjoyed it.

I know it turned out wholesome and the #34 goth rank may drop but it's okay. It was supposed to end like this – a happy ending.

I had a lot of fun writing this book and I just want to thank you all for supporting it till now. It really meant so much to me.

What will I do now? Probably read a few more books, but I do plan to write another book soon so stay tuned for that.

Anyway, that's all from me. Thanks for being with me on this journey and I hope we meet again in my other works.
Bye ❤️
