⤷ 07,, the first dare

"I don't think I will ever shut up about Me Myself & I," you say as you and Haruko are walking through the mall together.

He groans at your sentence, "Oh, come on. Riley I think everyone is sick of you bringing up 5 Seconds of Summer all the damn time."

"You think I give a damn about that? No. They are my favourites and I will never shut up about them. Everyone just has to accept that."

"What about Stray Kids?"

"They are also my favourites!"

"But you barely mention them."

You roll your eys at him, "So? Doesn't mean I love them less. 5 Seconds of Summer is just really active these days and Stray Kids is probably preparing their next comeback so it might come later!"

"Ok, Queen," Haruko answers with an eye roll. "Whatever you say."

"Hey, be nice," you pout to your best friend.

He chuckles and bumps into your shoulder, "Of course, I'm always nice to you," he says. Haruko's lip curl and his adorable braces-smile appears. "And the 5SOS song is pretty cool, so you're allowed to sing it."

"Bullshit I feed myself, me and my selfish appetite~"

"Okay, but maybe not in public?"

You pout, "Well, okay then. If you're so embarrassed by it," you say, shrugging. "So, um, why were we here again?"

"To buy a present for my younger brother."

"Oh right, it's Shiro-kun his birthday soon!"

Haruko nods and puts his hands into the pockets of his dark green varsity jacket. He looks around the mall and stops at every window of the stores you pass.

"Do you know what you want to give him?" you ask him, but your friend shrugs.

"I have no idea. He's at that age that he doesn't know what he wants. He's too young for shooting games, but he doesn't want 'young kids' toys because he says he's too old for that. So basically, I'm doomed to find something good."

"You can give him Pokémon cards. Everyone loves those."

He chuckles, "And you just want to buy them for yourself, don't you?"

"Mhm, maybe. Let's go! Maybe they have 5SOS their latest album in those stores too."

Haruko shakes his head but walks into the store with you. And once inside, he actually gets a little excited too when he sees all the toys.

You two spend a good fourty minutes in the store before you walk out of the store again.

You have bought a couple packs of Pokémon cards, an Eevee plushie, a 5SOS CD (CALM <3), and a Scorbunny Funko pop. Haruko walked out with a Star Wars puzzle for his brother, a lego set of a plant that he can build for himself, and a box where he can collect his pennies in because he doesn't have enough of those yet.

"I think we have everything we need! Should we get some coffee now?"

Haruko nods excitedly to your suggestion and starts walking into the direction of the café. You follow him to your favourite café.

Do you remember how people say that fate exists? And that things are usually just meant to be when they happen?

Well, screw those people.

Because to you seeing the one that once rejected you isn't something that's "meant to be".

To you, seeing someone like that, is just bad luck.
