"An iced caramel macchiato for the lady, and an iced mocha for Inuoka-kun."

Yaku places down two drinks in front of you and Inuoka. He plops down in between you and the other male. "And a vanilla frappe for me."

Yaku takes a sip and sighs. "Ah, it feels so good to finally be free from work."

You frown as you take a look at the drink. "Huh, I didn't order anything, Yaku-san," you say as you take the drink in your hand and expect it.

The older male laughs. "Yeah, I know. You get this one from me." He smiles and takes a sip from his drink. "It's for all your guys' hard work over the hours and the many drinks you've ordered here already. I'm a nice upperclassman and I think you two deserve a break, so maybe we could go out for dinner? If you guys are down for that."

"Ah, crap," Inuoka says as he looks at the time. "I can't, I need to get going. My roommates and I were planning a movie night together and I need to bring the snacks."

He shuts his laptop and puts it in his bag. "Thank you for the drink, Yaku-san! I'll repay you with my presence soon, I promise!"

The older student waves Inuoka away. "No worries, I hope you enjoy your time with your roommates!"

Your tall friend smiles and ruffles your hair before he swings his bag over his shoulder and backs away. "Alright, I'll see you guys soon!"

You smile and wave at him and turn towards your drink. "Dang, that's too bad."

"Do you still want to grab dinner, though?" Yaku looks at you and smiles. He runs a hand through his sand coloured hair and tilts his head a little. "Don't feel pressured to say yes, you can still say no."

You were about to say no to his offer, but thinking now... Why would you say no? It's good to spend time with other people too and make new friends instead of always being with the friends you have. You love them endlessly and you always will, but it doesn't hurt to have a change of scenery sometimes.

"Sure, why not?"

You put your iPad and Apple pencil back in the case and shove them in your bag. You also put your other belongings in your bag and stand up from your place. Yaku smiles and stands up as well. You swing your bag over your shoulder and grab the coffee from the table.

"Where do you want to go?" you ask him.

"What are you craving?"

You think for a moment. "Mhm, I love pokebowls. Yeah, a pokebowl is nice, especially when I can put one together myself."

"A good choice, Riley-chan," Yaku says with a smile before he walks towards the door of the cafe. You both say your farewells to the employees and get out to walk to the pokebowl place.

"Have you eaten here before?" you ask as you point into the direction you have to go since Yaku has no idea where to go. Yaku shakes his head.

"No, there's one back in my neighbourhood where I ate sometimes but you can't put one together yourself. I usually eat ramen since I'm more of a noodles type of guy, but I do love to eat more rice so I'm curious to know what it's like to build your own."

You chuckle. "I think you'll like it, it's really nice to choose your own toppings. I would recommend to go for their signature marinade for your protein and their homemade dressing, it's so good!"

"Sure, I'll try that," Yaku says before you both enter the restaurant. You walk towards the counter to order your food.

You create your own bowl, one with sushi rice and lettuce, fried chicken, carrot, avocado, roasted broccoli, mango, roasted cauliflower, and cucumber. You top it off with spring onion and their homemade dressing. Yaku creates his bowl as well.
