"What happened to "I wan't to stay away from Kageyama", Riles?"
You sigh, letting your head fall down on the table in the cafe. "My friends happened, Sō. They kept asking me and when the one friend that I'm weak for asked me and was almost begging me, it was final. I gave in."
"You're weak for one of your friends?" He frowns, leaning back in the chair as he takes a sip from his tea. "I would never guess you'd be weak for any of them."
"I know! But Suna never asks for anything, yet alone almost beg for something, so when he asked me the last time... I couldn't say no when he asked me about it. He literally said that me, Rin and Kaiya were such a good team... and saying that about Rin who he thinks of as an annoying sister, and about Kaiya who he has a hate-love relationship with, really says something."
"Mhm, I guess that makes sense. Well it's fun you gotta spend more time with me and your friends then! But how are you gonna deal with your 'enemy'?"
You roll your eyes at his choice of words. "I'm just going to ignore him, I guess. What else am I supposed to do? I just talk to him when needed and ignore him when I don't have to talk to him. I mean, what will he do? Hit me? I don't think he's causing a scene at the gym."
"Nah, he probably won't. And if he does, he's an asshole."
"We already knew that he was."
You and Inuoka both laugh, you now also leaning back in your chair. "You and Yaku are really strange for not practicing every day, though. How do you do that? My friends love volleyball and they would do anything."
"They have more time," Inuoka says, then pointing at his school work. "You know how much work we have, there's no way I can train every evening with the team. I would love to, but I can't, so sometimes I'm absent," he explains further. "Aren't your friends in sports management too? I think they get more time for sports anyway."
You nod. "I guess that makes sense."
"Excuse me, I couldn't help but overhear what you guys were talking about. Are you perhaps talking about Kageyama Tobio from the Tokyo University volleyball team?"
You almost jump up from your chair when you hear those words leave someone's lips. You turn around and are met by a dude with sand coloured hair. He's cute.
"Yeah? Why?"
"He lived in the same prefecture as me," the guy says with a nod. "He's pretty known around there for his skills."
"As us," another voice says, the guy that belongs with the voice leans back in his chair. You can spot red, spiky hair and a big smile around his face.
"Hello, Gorgeous. What brings you here?"
You roll your eyes and ignore his comment, turning towards the other guy to reply, but Inuoka does instead. "Really? You guys went to Karasuno as well? I don't recognize you, and I've played them numerous times."
"No," the sand-coloured guy says, shaking his head. "We went to Shiratorizawa."
"Oh, that's why I don't know you guys, you guys never went to nationals anymore ever since Karasuno did."
They scoff at Inuoka's words. "Yeah, we know, but we went to nationals all those years before. We were in our last year when Karasuno went after a long time of not going," the red haired guy says. "But where are you from then?"
"Tokyo," Inuoka replies proudly, nodding at the guys. "I was born here."
"Eh, are we still talking about Kageyama and his old team?" you ask with a frown. You have no idea what these three are talking about.
