𝑀𝑂𝑆𝑇 𝑂𝐹 𝑇𝐻𝐸 𝑃𝐸𝑂𝑃𝐿𝐸 Pearl is hired to kill are men -- turns out that women are a vengeful breed. Pearl has killed women as well, but the majority have been the opposite sex. Pearl has found that when killing men, at times, she had to create a ruse. Despite knowing they're the far more mindless gender, some can fend for themselves. She knew the best way to trick men was to seduce them. She's become so good at it that she could now see what women would be susceptible to the same manipulation; Meadow is one of those women.
Meadow and Harrison were new members of the movement, but Harrison was far more dedicated than she. They knew that Meadow lacked love, she had all her life, so that's what they were going to use to draw her in.
Originally, the plan was to have Kai seduce her in a way, but he's far too open and loud about his love for Pearl. He can't help himself most of the time. However, Pearl has no problem putting on an act to get what she wants and with her experience, Pearl knew she could make a straight woman love her.
Meadow was currently sitting on the stairs that led to the basement while Kai was doing some work for the movement downstairs. Everyone was scattered around the house, every member of the movement around the somewhat compound. Pearl was looking for Meadow to work on her relationship with her, which was when she found the girl on the stairs, sketching away. Once Meadow felt Pearl's presence next to her, she covered her drawings.
Pearl nudged her shoulder and encouraged, "Oh, come on, pretty girl. I already know you're talented. What, you're afraid I won't like them?"
"Yeah, kinda." Meadow admitted, but that was when Pearl gently put her hand over hers and looked deep into her eyes. "Meadow, there's nothing about you I don't like."
Meadow wanted a white picket fence lifestyle. She wanted a handsome husband with a good job, a few kids, maybe a dog, but never once did Meadow think that she'd genuinely consider being with a woman. But Pearl...there was something so inviting about Pearl. It was as if her mere aura made Meadow feel as though she would burn a million worlds just to make her smile. Meadow wanted to do anything for her and Pearl hadn't even asked.
Meadow hesitated to show Pearl, but she trusted this woman more than Harrison. Meadow moved her sketchbook away from her chest so Pearl could see. Meadow only looked at her face and watched as her lips pulled into a small smile. What could have been mistaken for pride was truly Pearl filled with glee at the fact that Kai would have loved them.
Pearl did need to keep up appearances, however. She looked up to Meadow, who was patiently waiting for an answer. "They're beautiful."
"You're looking at me, not the sketch." Meadow let out a small laugh as she looked down at her hands.
"I know." Pearl whispered as she held her chin lightly. Pearl pulled Meadow close and lightly kissed her lips. Meadow had never kissed a woman before, but how it made her heart swoon. Meadow most likely wouldn't have had it not been Pearl. She was a beautiful drug that Meadow was hooked on.
Pearl then cupped her jaw and smiled as she rained compliments, "You are so effortlessly perfect, and beautiful, and talented-"
"Pearl!" Meadow laughed, turning away from her. Pearl moved her hand down to hold Meadow's as the girl expressed, "You're too good to me."
"It's not my fault you deserve the world. And these...these are amazing." Pearl motioned to her drawings, still wondrously enthralled by how they perfectly encapsulated Kai's mind. It was what was truly making her happy.
"Well, I still have to shade this in and add some definition..." Meadow tried to downplay her talent and Pearl agreed with that comment slightly, but she, of course, could never express that. Instead, she reassured, "Kai will love it. And if he doesn't, I'll tell him to shove it. We are using these no matter what. Can't let your creativity go to waste."
"You're just being nice to me." Meadow shook her head, but Pearl quickly corrected, "I'm not. I think you're the most incredible person I've ever met. Even more than the Sour Patch-haired jackass I married. God, he gets on my every nerve. But you, my lovely flower, you make it all better."
Meadow leaned her head on Pearl's shoulder as she continued, "There's no one like you here. You burn brighter than anyone and you mean the absolute world to me. You're everything."
Pearl didn't think that Meadow was untalented -- she was able to capture Kai's memory for the movement. But truthfully, Pearl's interest in art lies elsewhere. Not only did Pearl believe that murder was a form of art -- the different weapons, techniques, ways of killing, but she too was a fan of architecture. Pearl had goals and interests outside of Kai, but her love forced her to follow him until the ends of the earth...somewhat.
