𝐸𝑉𝐸𝑁 𝐼𝐹 𝑃𝐸𝐴𝑅𝐿 𝑊𝐴𝑆 dedicated to helping Kai's movement, she still did have to do her regular job- well, regular was a strong word. Pearl still had to murder people for a living. Pearl was lucky enough that on this last job, she didn't have to get rid of the body. The client already had a plan for that, but couldn't do the actual killing, but because of their desperation, Pearl got paid extra. It was a good day.
Pearl was currently walking home from the job with a cigarette between her lips. Her tight maroon dress was hiding underneath her black leather jacket. Her heels made music as she walked. While Pearl might have been a distracting beauty, she herself was distracted by the sight of on-air personality Beverly Hope slashing tires. Pearl was a bit concerned by this action, but still intrigued. She called over, "If you wanna slash tires properly, you have to slash closer to the sidewall."
"Do I look like I'm asking for advice, sweetheart?" Beverly snarked. Pearl scoffed and looked around, noticing that they were in the news station parting lot, but did turn her focus back to Beverly. "Sweetheart? Wow, never been called that by a woman."
"Do you want something?" Beverly breathed out, hoping to get back to her revenge. There was rage hidden behind her eyes, Pearl was quite impressed. "Yeah. I wanna buy you a cup of coffee."
Shockingly enough, Beverly obliged. Pearl hadn't threatened to call the police, hadn't even asked why she was doing that, Pearl was more willing to help. Pearl had taken Beverly down to Ally and Ivy's restaurant. She knew that they wouldn't be bugged there since if Ivy saw them, she'd get nervous and keep her distance. It was like a threatening safe haven.
Besides, Ally wasn't working that day, so Pearl could speak freely and there would be no threat. Just in case, they did sit in a booth for some more privacy and Ivy ensured it was away from many of the other customers. Ivy knew to make sure Pearl was protected.
