❛ everything about you is a mystery ❜

𝐼𝑉𝑌 𝐴𝑆 𝐴 𝐺𝑅𝑈𝐷𝐺𝐸 against her wife, and a bad one at that. Kai figured that they could not only torture this poor woman as a form of revenge for Ivy, but they too could have something to fight against. Kai intended to become such a renowned public figure in their town that the knew they needed an enemy. There needed to be someone for new followers to rally against, and they intended that to be Ally.

Ally is already an incredibly paranoid person, so they were going to play into that. With all the costumes and masks created and prepared, Kai's plan was to have everyone dress up at the grocery store Gary owns and make Ally think she's seeing clowns. Of course, when she goes to tell others, there will be no evidence.

Kai and Pearl were standing in an aisle in the grocery store by themselves. Everyone else was taking their places, but Pearl and Kai were only preparing. He had his mask off, his mind clearly elsewhere. They couldn't have the cult- movement's leader having their mind somewhere else. Pearl put her hands on his shoulder and rested her thumbs on his neck as she reassured, "Angel Eyes, you're doing an amazing thing. You're helping people. This is going to go great, she's incredibly easy to scare."

"Can you take that off? I can't see your beautiful face." Kai was referring to her mask. Pearl obliged and took off her mask, looking up at Kai, who smiled at his wife. "I really love you, you know that?"

"You love me?" Pearl teased as she nudged his chest a little, but he was completely serious. "More than anything, Dollface."

Pearl and Kai rarely say that they love each other, they like having their own unique saying that only they use, or at least in a different context than other couples would. Pearl let out a small laugh, "What's with you?"

"I just appreciate that you're helping me with this. Everyone gives me such a headache, they're all mindless idiots, but you actually care. You actually want to help."

"I'd do anything for you, Kai, you know that." Pearl didn't know why he would be so appreciative when he never really showed it before. Pearl would admit that it was nice, but out of the blue. Kai softly kissed her lips, showing his thankfulness to her help. Pearl's smile only grew when he pulled away from her, but she did need to remind him, "I'm doing this for free, by the way, so you owe me."

"I promise I will make it up to you, Dollface, because I know you turned down a job tonight to be here." Kai promised. Pearl doesn't normally turn down jobs, it keeps her reputation up, but this was for Kai's cause. If Kai's movement needed her there, she was going to be there.

"Better be good, Mr. Anderson." Pearl commented as she put her mask back on, Kai doing the same after he taunted, "It will, Mrs. Anderson."

The two in charge were ready to commence the next stage of Kai's movement. Pearl whistled a quick tune, which was the signal for everyone to get into place. She looked through the window and saw Ally pulling up.  Everyone was hiding and preparing themselves for the scare of Ally's life.

As that poor woman walked around the store, collecting everything she needed, she saw in one of the mirrors that there were two of the clowns standing behind her, but once she actually turned around, they were nowhere to be found.

"Hello?" Ally called out, hoping that the clowns she was seeing were just figments of her imagination and not actual clowns. It was an unfortunate day for Ally.

Ally continued to wander the store until she turned a corner and Kai went by. She, of course, wasn't aware it was him because of the mask. Kai was on a scooter, rolling by with Pearl on behind him. She had her arms around his waist and glared at Ally as they went by. Terrified, Ally ran back down the aisle in hopes to escape, but because the couple was on wheels, they were able to get there at the same time as her.

When Ally got back to the other side, Pearl and Kai went by once more on the scooter. That was enough for Ally to fall back, but it didn't help when Pearl swung at her with a knife in her hand -- she missed on purpose. All rushed back, her only goal now to get out of the store.

Ally, unfortunately, had caught sight of whom she wasn't aware of was Pearl, Winter, and Meadow walking towards her. Not sure how to defend herself, Ally grabbed a bottle of rosé and threw it at the girls. Pearl, however, was able to catch it. Without hesitation, she broke it off the ground and hurried towards Ally. The girl in question started running, so Pearl, Winter, and Meadow did the same. But once she was outside, the girls left her alone.

Ally ran back to her car where she had a false sense of security. When she glanced back at the grocery store, there were no clowns to be found. It all seemed fake. Everything that just happened to Ally seemed real, because it was, but logic was telling her it was all in her mind. That made sense. This idea was all Pearl's, which was why it was working.
