yn hadn't moved an inch since she called akaashi. she couldn't shake the feeling that if she stopped looking at the poem, it would disappear. the only motion she allowed herself was a nervous glance at the main building's doors. she didn't want to be scared if akaashi suddenly stood next to her.

after a few very long minutes, he really showed up. hot that yn didn't believe him, but the entire situation was surreal, so she had her doubts.

every time yn saw akaashi, he was very put together and always wore nicely fitting clothes. she enjoyed his style a lot, she always loved it when people had a style and stuck to it.

but this was the first time she saw akaashi in such a rush. he was wearing a big sweater, unlike the fitted pieces he wore every day, and sweatpants, which was almost shocking because she rarely saw him in jeans and now it turns out he even had sweatpants somewhere in his closet?

all of this made yn feel a little embarrassed for rushing him here.

"sorry for the short notice," she said, smiling sheepishly.

"it's okay, i don't mind," he said quickly, waving his hand. 'i'll mind later, after recalling this meeting in my mind for the thousandth time, because it wasn't planned and i'll need to go over every detail again and again to make sure i didn't make an idiot of myself.' "i just need to get keys," he said, pointing to the bulletin board's obviously locked glass cover.

"okie-dokie." akaashi smiled slightly under his nose and turned to leave for his clubroom.

two steps after he heard that yn was going there with him. he did not expect her to follow him, but that was fine. It was a little nerve-racking, but everything was fine.

"you won't get in trouble for doing that?" she asked, matching her pace with his.

"no, takahashi didn't notice when it was put up, so he won't notice that it's gone either."

"oh, he wasn't the one to put it up?"

akaashi nearly tripped over his own legs. of course, he was not the one who hung it, it was himself! if he could, he would put his hands in his hair and pull it in distress.

how can he lie now?

he opened the doors to the clubroom for yn, letting her to go in first and then himself. he turned on the lights, hoping he wasn't red in the face.

"i don't think so," he said, walking up to takahashi's desk. "he always has everything he's going to put up layed out on his desk and i didn't saw it between fliers yesterday." every good lie contains a bit of the truth, and what he said was completely true, so it wasn't even a lie. "it was put up yesterday, right?" he asked, pulling the drawer open.

good save.

"yeah," yn nodded.

"anyone who knows the key is here could put it up," he said, hoping to draw yn's attention even further away from him. as he spoke, he got out the key from the drawer and closed it.
