"our friendgroup got smaller, so-"

"i don't think we are a friendgroup," kenma said, drawing a look from kuroo. "what?"

"we kinda are," he admitted, shrugging his shoulders.

"no, we just met up few times, because yn was close with bokuto, and you were close with aran, but they're both gone, so we don't have anything holding us together anymore."

"don't make it sound like they're dead," akaashi sighed, and kenma smiled at him. he always did it for fun, saying things like 'bokuto is gone' or 'i wish bokuto was still with us' to annoy others.

"your point doesn't even make sense, we're close with akaashi and him and yn are together now, so we still have a thing holding us together," kuroo argued.

"actually-" yn started, raising her finger.

"oh shut up, don't give me this 'we're not officially together' bullshit," kenma huffed, waving his hand.

"no, you shut up," yn stated, pointing her finger at him. "i'm talking right now, no interrupting. our friend group got smaller, so i invited two people to hang out with us because we have two open slots."

akaashi barely contained laugh, knowing exactly who yn had invited and that this was going to be a really interesting meeting. probably a loud one as well.

"who?" kuroo asked.

"they'll be here soon," yn said, not ready to answer this question directly to his face. "anyway, kenma, congrats on your new merch line."

"oh, thanks," kenma replied with a small smile.

kuroo and akaashi never noticed how much of a love-hate relationship yn and kenma had, most likely because kenma wasn't talking much with aran and bokuto leading the conversation. but now he didn't have much of a choice, he had to talk to the three of them, or yn and kuroo would force him to speak, because his silence was so obvious in such a small group. one moment they were arguing about god knows what and why, and the next they could compliment each other without even mentioning that they were almost at each other's throats.

"i'm thinking about ordering one pair of those black sweatpants, the design on them is so cool."

"i can just get a pair for you if you want," he shrugged his shoulders.

"no, i like supporting small creators," she replied with a sweet smile.

"what the fuck is-" he began, knitting his eyebrows.

"nothing," yn laughed, and before kenma could say anything else, she raised her hand and waved at someone entering the bar. "look, they're here!"

"fuck off," kuroo gasped as he watched daishō walk to their table with a very proud smile.

"what's up?" he asked cheerfully, sitting down alongside mika.

"good one," kenma nodded to yn in appreciation for the bit.

"do you want anything to drink?" yn asked, lightly patting akaashi on the knee, suggesting that she obviously wanted him to go with her.

"something sweet, please," mika asked.

"something strong," kuroo sighed.

"don't be such a pessimist, you can ignore him if he annoys you," mika said with a big smile, pointing at her offended boyfriend. "i loved your merch line kenma, yn sent me some screenshots-"

they didn't hear the rest of the conversation, but yn remained optimistic. mika was great at keeping the conversation going.

"they're going to like each other... eventually," yn said, sliding her hand down akaashi's forearm to connect their hands. "kuroo's not gonna hold it against me that i invited daishō, right?"

"no," akaashi said, chuckling and shaking his head lightly. "do you want another drink?"

"no, maybe just water. i need to keep my mind clear tonight."

"oh, really?" he asked with a teasing smile, causing un to roll her eyes and lightly slap his arm with her free hand.

"i just want to keep the situation between kuroo and daishō under control," she said, smiling. "no other reason." she shrugged her shoulders. "unless you give me one," she said proudly, letting go of his hand to order drinks, leaving akaashi with straight lips and slightly flushed cheeks.

when they returned, everything seemed fine; no one died.

"by the way, yn, aran hadn't texted me back in like thee days, what's going on with him?" daishō asked as soon as her akaashi sat down.

"i don't think he's in the country right now," yn stated, checking the date on her phone. "yeah, he's coming back tommorrow, he tried to explain to me why they shipped him out, but i barely understood anything about it."

"it was some kind of ex-change of players, before their friendly game in germany," said akaashi. since aran left, he started talking with him more, mostly about yn, which was great because it was akaashi's favorite topic, but also about a variety of other topics, which is why he knew aran was gone from in the country.

"lucky bastard," daishō said, shaking his head.

"oh my god," mika said loudly, placing down her drink. "i think they messed something up about it."

"what?" yn huffed and reached for the drink to taste it. "oh my god," she choked out, whincing and grabbing akaashi's elbow, as if one sip was going to throw her to the ground. "i can ask them to remake it, it shouldn't be so strong."

"it's fine," mika simply waved her hand, not wanting to cause any problems.

"how's bokuto doing?" he asked kuroo, who scrunched his nose at the idea of speaking with him again.

"great actually, he has pretty tight schedule now, but we're making it work."

"jesus, i didn't ask about your relationship, ew," daishō almost shuddered. "not in homophobic way, just hatefull."

"you're so annoying," kuroo sighed. "give this to me," he said, taking the drink away from mika.
