yn was so happy that atsumu and bokuto got along. not that she hadn't expected it from the moment she met bokuto, but it was still incredible to be sure now.a small yawn escaped her lips, and she realized it was time for her. no matter how much fun she was having, she knew that as soon as she felt sleepy, she needed to start gathering her belongings before her mood dropped due to exhaustion. she also needed her beauty sleep.
"it's time for me, guys," she said, sliding back her chair so she could stand up.
"no, stay longer," bokuto whined, reaching out his hands to physically stop yn from leaving.
"i'm sleepy, few more minutes and i'll pass on the table."
"okay, then, let's go," aran said, picking up his belongings from the table.
"no! you stay, you're havin' a good time," yn argued.
"you shouldn' walk alone, it's late," atsumu said, preparing to leave just like aran. the rest appear to be ready to wrap things up.
"i'm a big girl, guys," yn huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. "i'll text you when i get home, 'kay?"
atsumu and aran grumbled something in response, but they were still unsure whether they should let yn go alone. she lived nearby, only three or four streets away, and while she was right that she was a big girl, it still felt wrong.
akaashi sat on the edge of the seat. should he go? offer to walk her home. he wouldn't feel bad about leaving now, even though atsumu was a great guy to be around. maybe it was because he made her laugh so hard that every time she laughed, she threw her head back and had to grab something, usually his arm, to keep from falling out of the chair.
he couldn't decide, and yn had already left, so—
kuroo slapped him hard on the back.
"go," he said, as if it was the most obvious thing.
it wasn't for akaashi, he needed a plan, to know what he was doing, and couldn't just jump into a situation.
but it didn't matter in that moment. akaashi stood up. he stood there for a second with an open mouth, trying to figure out what kind of goodbye to say, but eventually he just waved his hand dismissively and grabbed his jacket before turning around and storming out of the bar.
he looked left and right, but there was no yn in sight. until he noticed her near the end of the street. she had to be running to get this far so quickly.
akaashi began walking, which could even be called jogging.
'what do i even say?'
he slowed down. okay, he got up and decided to walk with her, but he needed to think about it. but he knew yn lived nearby, so if he can't figure it out right now, she'll simply turn to her apartment building and that would be the end of walking her home.
