"do you have everything?" yn asked for the thousandth time today.

"yn," aran sighed, resting his hands on her shoulders. "you saw my apartament, it's literally wiped clean, i shipped everything to shizuoka, you really don't need to make sure i have everything, 'kay?"

"just checking," she replied, shrugging her shoulders. "there's never too much checking for sure, right?" she said only to akaashi, who nodded immediately. good, at least he understood her completely.

"don't sweat it, yn he we forgot anything, he can just buy it when he's settled in shizuoka," bokuto said, patting her on the back.

"what if it's something like box with trinkets and precious memories on the bottom of the closet?"

"i don't have box of trinkets, that's your thing."

"just checkin'," she said, rolling her eyes.

the four of them were waiting for a train to osaka, which woukd take aran and bokuto away for forever (untill they have time to meet up). yn did her best not to cry yet, she tried to at least wait untill the moment when the train takes away, so they wouldn't have any reason to think that she's sad about them starting new chapter in their lives.

she now understood why kuroo didn't want to walk bokuto to the train station, choosing to say their goodbyes alone in the apartment before he left.

akaashi tried to convince her that she could cry because no one would think she was too sad to be happy about them moving on with their careers, but she wasn't about to take chances, even if he was right, which, of course, he was. aran and bokuto knew she was happy for them, even if she had sad tears in her eyes.

"that's ours," aran said, nodding toward the train that was slowly coming to a stop beside the platform they were on. "come on." he opened his arms, and second later yn hugged him. "don't cry much, okay? i'm not dying. we'll see each other soon, i promise."

"okay," she nodded into his shoulder, trying to squeeze him enough to feel the hug even after he got out of the train in shizuoka.

"'kaashi," bokuto said with a pout, pulling him in by his shoulders. "call me every day, okay? text me whenever something happens. take care of tetsurō, don't let him rot in the bedroom, and don't believe him if he says we broke up, because we didn't, he's just dramatic," he said, clenching his hands on akaashi's shoulders. "take care of yourself too, you can call me whenever and i'll be in the next train to tokyo, you know that?"

"i do." akaashi nodded, giving bokuto one last firm squeeze before letting him to hug yn, who was already in tears. he probably had them in his as well, but at least one of them needed to be strong in that moment and he agreed to the job.

"akaashi," aran said, hugging him. that wasn't what he expected, he expected a handshake or a side hug, not a full face-to-face hug. it was a nice one. "normally, i would have had to threaten them before leaving yn with anyone, but i don't have to anymore. i'm glad you're the one staying here with her."

"that means a lot," akaashi said, quickly wiping his suddenly wet cheek.

"you two are both in good hands," aran said, patting him on the shoulder. "text me sometime, okay?"

"i will," he replied with a smile.

"come on, bokuto," aran said, picking his bags up off the ground. he had two sports bags full of everything he needed in the apartment until the last moment before the move. bokuto had the same type of luggage.

"we'll miss you," yn said, waving at them as they stepped inside the train.

"we'll miss you, too!" bokuto yelled as the doors closed behind them. aran waved them through the window once more, and then they went to find their seats.

it didn't take long for yn to burst into tears, the train was still on the platform, so she didn't even get to wait until it went off, but she couldn't take it any longer.

akaashi reached his hands and pulled her into a hug. yn immediately gripped his jacket tightly, as if she was trying to make sure that he wouldn't leave too.

"it's okay," he said quietly, petting the back of her head. "it's okay, honey." it came too naturally to him to call her something sweet, and he had never used petnames on anyone before, but he knew yn well enough to know she needed that kind of sweet talk right now.

"it's not," she sobbed, almost breaking akaashi's heart with her sad tone.

"we'll meet them soon, okay? maybe some weekend soon? we could spend a day with aran, then another with bokuto, and maybe atsumu as well, hm?"

"i'd like that," yn said, sniffing loudly. "sorry."

"it's okay," he said right away, reaching for the tissues he had packed in his pocket before leaving. he pulled one out and pressed it against her damp cheeks before handing her another to blow her nose. "okay?" he asked, looking into her glossy eyes. he raised the tissue again to the corner of her eye, and she looked at him, pouting.

"okay," she nodded. "i've only been to shizuoka once, to look at apartments with aran, and it's bigger than i expected, you know? the hotel we stayed in had such great room service, if we were to go there, i would like to book the same hotel, and you should try the mashed potatoes they offer-"

akaashi smiled to himself. he loved to watch yn come back to herself.
