Carnival 🍬

Non despair AU. Kokichi and Shuichi go to the carnival. 

Kokichi's POV

I was getting ready to go to the carnival. I asked Shuichi earlier and he said yes! I'm so excited! I'm going on a date with Saihara-Chan! I go take a shower, brush my teeth, change clothes, etc. I make sure I look extra adorable! I like Shuichi so much and omg he actually said yes! I didn't think he would, but he did. I get up and out of my house. I get in my car and drive to the carnival Shuichi and I agreed on. I'm a bit early but that's fine. I wait with anticipation. I already have both of our tickets to go inside. Shuichi arrives looking so handsome. "Shumai! Over here," I call out. Shuichi rushes over and we both enter the carnival. "Shumai? Can we get cotton candy?" I ask with puppy dog eyes. Shuichi fiddles his fingers and nods. He speaks, "Sure Kokichi... I can pay for it." I giggle and twirl in excitement. I run over to the cotton candy booth before Shuichi can even start walking. Shuichi quickly walks over behind me. "You are acting like a kid, Ouma." Shuichi chuckled. "No I don't! I may like carnivals and cotton candy, but that doesn't mean anything! Hmph!" I pout at Shuichi's laughter filled face. I turn to the booth with cotton candy. "Two cotton candies please!" I say. The worker tiredly grunts and starts making the cotton candy. "$5.80," the worker calls out. Shuichi pulls out 6 dollars and exchanges it with the worker. I start eating my cotton candy immediately. "It's so good! Yummy!" I giggle. Shuichi smiles at me and starts eating his own. We finish our cotton candy. "Shumai let's do duck shooting!" I giggle. "Ouma you're dragging me around like a child..." Shuichi says. "Sooo~? I'm still having super duper fun!" I respond. I take Shuichi's hand in my own and drag Shuichi all the way over to the duck shooting game. I lay a few games with Shuichi and win all of them. "I'm the god of carnival games! Nishishi~!" I laugh. Shuichi grunts, "yes, yes you are, Kokichi."  I smile at that. "Aww! Saihara-Chan~ admits it! Nishishi~," I remark. "Let's  do the rides! Try not to get scared! Scaredy cat Saihara!" I giggle. My legs started to get tired already. I walk over to the ride and wait in the short line with Shuichi. It goes by pretty quickly. Before I even know it Shuichi and I are in the ride next to each other. "Nishishi Shumai~ do you like carnival rides?" I ask. "I mean I'm not sure, but I'll go on it with you." Shuichi admits. I giggle lightly and the ride starts spinning. It spins faster and faster and faster. We were high in the sky and spinning, high then low and then high then low. Shuichi looks dizzy. I am a little dizzy as well. He starts to stumble over his feet and the only thing catching him was the safety strap. I hold his hand and rub the back of it. Shuichi starts to focus more and not stumble quite as much. The ride gets it to a stop. My legs were definitely tired now. it takes a minute for Shuichi to exit dizzy mode, but he does. "Shuichi... can you carry me? Please!" I beg with puppy dog eyes. Shuichi sighs, "Sure Ouma..." he picks me up in his arms and starts carrying me around as I point at different things. "Can we go on that?" I ask. "Kokichi... that is literally for toddlers." Shuichi mentions. "Sooo~? I don't care! Can we?" I beg. Shuichi reluctantly agrees. We go on and the small ride is so fun! When we get off Shuichi picks me up again. "Shumai! We should get food. I'm hungry." I tell Shuichi. Shuichi carries me to some food place and gets us both a corn dog. He puts sauce on his and I keep mine plain. All the seats are taken, so I point at a big rock. Shuichi sits on it and places me next to him. We are pretty smooshed together. I lean my head on his shoulder as I eat my corn dog. It's so good and I'm so tired. "You look awfully tired," Shuichi mentions. "I am..." I reply. I lean heavily on Shuichi and grab onto him and it's like a tight hug. Shuichi ruffles my hair and we both finish the corn dogs, but neither of us moves position. "Time to go home," Shuichi chuckles and pats my head. I lean into the touch and hug him closer. Shuichi offers a piggyback ride, and I hop on. He carries me to get a small coffee, and then to my car. I drink it feeling energized enough for driving. "Shumai I had a lot of fun!" I remark while smiling. I give Shuichi a kiss on the cheek and he turns red. I get in my car and drive to my house. I change into pajamas. I fall asleep in my bed while thinking about the whole date.
