Shuichi's POV

I was driving home from work, grumpy and tired. The whole day has just been a train wreck. I dropped my breakfast on the floor, and I was late to school. School was stressful and so confusing, which is unusual because I usually understand quite easily. Work had more entitled customers than usual. I have so much homework for stuff that doesn't even matter. I was just feeling so off. Everything today was just so annoying. I finally arrive home. My boyfriend greets me at the door, "Sooo~ how was work~?" He put an arm around my shoulder and giggled. Usually i would've smiled and told him it was just fine... but today I was feeling like shit. I didn't want Kokichi's usual antics. I grumbled, "Terrible." I brushed him off and headed to our shared room. I didn't even care that Kokichi looked confused and concerned at my sudden behavior or that this was his room as well. I flopped on my bed, I was too tired to deal with this. After a few minutes, I heard a knock at the door. It was Kokichi. "Can I come in? Please?" Kokichi asked, sounding more genuine than usual. "Ugh, fine." I grumbled. He slowly opened the door, and sat next to me. "Can you tell me what happened?" He asked with a loving smile. I sighed, "It's just... everything today is horrible, everything has been messing up." He gently rubbed my shoulder comfortingly. "Continue..." he said. I elaborated more on how everything was going wrong. "Will your adorable boyfriend's love and affection make you feel better~?" He asked, I couldn't tell if he was  being teasing or genuine. It was probably both, knowing how he was. But, if I was being honest it would probably make me feel a lot better. "Y-yeah..." I murmured. He smiled warmly and came closer. He climbed on top of my lap, and cuddled his head into my chest. My grumpiness was not entirely gone, but my Kokichi brought a smile to my face. I gently wrapped one arm around him, and nuzzled his hair with my other. His warmth and weight pressed against me, made me feel at peace. "How about I cook you a special dinner and do that dumb pesky homework with you? Would you like that?" He asked, while giggling. I thought about it. I answered, "Yeah, it really would." He nuzzled up to me for a few more minutes. Then, he got up, and headed to the kitchen. I could tell he was cooking. I was happy my beloved would do all of this to make sure I feel good instead of like crap. "I'm done~! Come here Saihara-Chan!" He shouted. I walked over to the small table we had and sat down. He set a bowl of ramen in front of me. "Kokichi did you just make instant noodles?" I asked, chuckling. "Well technically not! I cooked the eggs and the pork in it! That counts for something!" He demanded. It made me giggle. It was honestly kind of cute to see him defensive about it. He wasn't the best cook ever though, so I'm glad he chose ramen. He set his own bowl down, and started eating. "And even if it is a ramen packet it still tastes good," he mumbled, while his mouth was still stuffed with noodles. I started eating the ramen as well. It was pretty good. After we finished I pulled out my laptop and my notes. I was ready to start doing my homework, but only because Kokichi would do it with me. I knew Kokichi wouldn't really help or make things easier, but it made me not dread the thought. He sat beside me. "Ok so uh what are you supposed to do?" He asked, seemingly bored already. "Well I'm supposed to write a 1000 word presentation, the main topic was left to the student. But, it's supposed to do with mental health in some way," I explained. "Just write about ways to reduce stress or how more sleep benefits you mentally or something!" Kokichi said. "Well I mean we can, or we can do something else?" I responded. After a while, I end up making a google slideshow with a little over 1000 words, with Kokichi's commentary in the background. It took a while, so it was pretty late by the time we finished. I felt mostly better! "Nishishi~ we should cuddle again... that really cheers you up~" he teased, not afraid to be teasing again since I was clearly in a better mood. "Fine, come here," I chuckled as I flopped on the bed. Kokichi flopped down beside me. I started spooning him. "Neehehe~ Shu~" he cooed. I just pulled him closer, still spooning him. He's always such a small spoon. "You're so cute..." I mumbled. "You tell me so everyday," Kokichi reminded me. I chuckle. "Heh... because you are... every single day." He giggled before yawning. He snuggled his back into me more before drifting into a peaceful slumber. I feel asleep, spooning him still, shortly after.
