This is a non-despair AU where Kokichi and Shuichi are going to "hangout" at the library. They are currently friends, but it gets romantic. This one isn't exactly a smut but it will have a bit more sexual tension than my usual fluff.

Kokichi's POV

Tonight I'm going to the library with Saihara-Chan! I don't really like to read unless it's comics or something. Shuichi does though, so it's fine! Plus, I probably can convince him to read to me. I dress in a purple hoodie, loose jean shorts, checkered scarf, and sneakers. i drive over to the library. Shuichi is already here before me. "Hey Shuichi~!" I greet. "Hello Kokichi. Come on come inside! There is a book I want to read with you. I read some of the first pages and thought you'd like it," Shuichi remarks. "Oooh! Ok!" I giggle. "I'm also new to some of the genres in it, so I thought you could help me with that." Saihara-Chan mumbles quietly. I nodded end and smirked. Shuichi guides me into the mystery section. Shuichi points at a distinct series and I grab the first book to the series. It's about a phantom thief and a detective. Apparently, the detective tries to figures out the phantom thief while the phantom thief teases and flirts with the detective, but always managing to be just out of his grasp. It seems very interesting. The new genre Shumai was talking about is probably referencing the romance aspect. "Ok! Come in Saihara-Chan! You'll read it to me!" I giggle with a grin. "Read it to you? Like a loud?" He questions. "Exactly!" I respond. Shuichi sighs and sits down in a nearby chair. I snuggly get into his lap. He starts reading the book. It's written from the detective's prospective. The phantom thief kinda reminds me of myself in a way. I snuggly listen to Shuichi's soothing voice as I sit in his lap. I can catch the flustered tone and blush when something even slightly romantic happens. "Shu Shu! It's just flirting!" I chuckle. He sighs, "well yeah but I'm not used to it." Well that was obvious. "Duh!" I shout. He sighs and continues reading. I bury my head in his chest as I listen. I feel I,shine the book deep in my mind. The book got to a part where the phantom thief was teasing the protagonist, and saying that they should make out and stop chasing each other. "Hehe Shumai! We should do what the phantom thief just suggested!" I giggle teasingly. Shuichi flushes red. I hold his hand tightly in my own. "I can tell you want to. It's in your eyes," I remark to Saihara-Chan. He blushes harder. I grab his hands and pin him up against a wall. His eyes are glossy and looking straight at me. I swipe some hair out of his face as our breath syncs. Just inches apart from another. I close the gap in a swift motion. I kiss him gently. Shuichi kisses me back, and holds me close. His lips feel so soft and tender on mine. I lightly bite his bottom lip while caressing his cheek. Shuichi returns the gesture. I place my tongue in a tangle with Shuichi's. "You like that~?" I whisper seductively. He blushes softly. After we kiss a bit more we pull apart. "Hehe~ you should read me the rest now!" I giggle playfully. Shuichi sits back in the chair to resume his read aloud. I listen intently. I snuggle deeply into Shuihci's lap. My head rests in his chest as his heart beat is a soothing melody pounding through my ear drums. He looks so peaceful and calm. This makes me calm as well. My eyes droop as his angelic voice starts to consume me. I drift off into the world of dream land in his lap. I sleep for a while. I wake up on his lap again. It looks like he put the book down. I then realized that Shuichi's jacket was wrapped around my petite body. It was warm and comforting. I snuggle deeper into his lap and chest. Shuichi notices by now that I'm awake again. He rubs my hair in a gentle manner. I wrap my arms around Shumai's body in an embrace. Shuichi gives my face small kisses which makes me have to hold my blush in. I nuzzle closer. "I love you..." I confess softly to Shuichi. He smiles warmly. He responds with, "I love you too..." we tenderly hug for a few more minutes, but then the library closes. "Bye Shuichi... cya~," I giggle tiredly. We both leave to our places. I still have his jacket. I'm not giving it back.
