So this is a school AU that takes place around prom! I'll leave the relationship status up to interpretation ;). Also, I may include some side ships! I had no idea which one to do with a few characters though since I ship them with like a few people. If I use side ships again I'll change them up a bit if you don't like the ones I choose.

Shuchi's POV

Everyone's been talking about prom lately. I was walking in the hall with my best friend Kaede. "Hey Shuichi who are you going to prom with? I'm going with Rantaro. He asks me and it was so romantic!" Kaede cheerfully reminded. "Well I probably won't go with anyone. I might go if it makes you happy though Keade," I reply. She frowned at my response. "Don't you have a crush on someone~? Why not ask them?" Keade asks smugly. "Well... he'd probably say no anyway," I babble. Kokichi approaches me and Kaede. "Sorry Kaede but can I borrow Shuichi for a little bit~? Nishishi~!" Kokichi giggled. Her eyes widen, but she then smirks, and pushes me a little towards him. Kokichi grabs my hand softly and pulls me aside to a small corner where nobody is around. "So... would you maybe want to go to prom with meee~?" Kokichi teases. I flush a little bit. "A-are you joking?" I ask in a curious manner. "Nishishi, nope never! Would never lie to my beloved~," he taunts. It's so embarrassing when he calls me that. "O-ok... I'll go with you." I agree. "Yay! Thank you Saihara-Chan~!" He excitedly beams. He wraps his arms around my waist in a hug and jumps up and down. He seems very excited... an energy level I could never match. Kokichi kisses my cheek, and runs off giggling. I blush brightly at the small smooch. I head back to Kaede. "Did he say what I think he said?" Keade asks in slightly teasing and slightly curious tone. "I um am going to prom with him now." I state. "Oooh! I was right! I knew it!" We continued walking through the halls. Before I even knew it I was getting ready. Combing my hair, spraying cologne, tying my tie, and putting on a suit for prom.

Kokichi's POV

Tonight is the night of me going to prom with Shuichi! I love him so much! I'm so glad that he actually said yes to my request. I'm ready early of course. I know Saihara-Chan is a boy, but my mom insisted on giving a bouquet to my prom date. I ring the doorbell and wait. I hide the flowers behind my back. Shuichi quickly answers with a handsome suit. "Hi Shuichi! Ready to go~? I got a taxi for us~! Oh! And here! I got you some flowers!" I giggle. I hand him a bouquet of blue carnations. He smiles at them, and places them on the table by the front door. I walk to the car first to open the door for him. I can't help but be a proper gentleman. He enters the car, and I enter on the other side. The driver drives us there in a few minutes. We enters, and see many couples already there. Some of the couples are quite unexpected. I never knew Hajime liked Nagito like that or that Maki had a soft spot for Kaito. I pulled Shuichi onto the dance floor. A slow song came on. It seems that Shuichi didn't know what he was doing. "Just let me guide you~ follow along," I seductively whisper. I grab on of Shuichi's hands, and interlock my fingers with his. I grab his other hand to place on my waist. He spins me around with my own guidance. "Move like this~" I taunted as I showed him how to move properly. He slowly got the hang of it as I kept showing him how. I place my free hand by my side. We dance until the end of the song. Keade sprints towards Shuichi like a happy mom watching her son grow up. "So proud of you for dancing with someone!" She cheered. "Yeah yeah.. I know," Shuichi responded shyly.  Rantaro quickly came in with that charisma. He wrapped an arm around Kaede's waist, and took her off to dance. Me and my beloved kept dancing. I kiss his lips in the middle of our dancing which makes his face heat up to an adorable shade of red. I slither my free hand around his neck to pull him closer. His face gets incredibly close to mine. "Nishishi~ Do you like this kind of closeness, mister detective~?" I question. I kiss his lips again. I lather in my smugness. Shuichi has a wave of embarrassment wash over him. We keep dancing. "I can show you what it's like to be a gentleman~" I coo into his ear. I slither an arm around his back with one still interlocked with his hand. I tilt him down while I bend over while hovering above him. I lightly trace his jawline. "Think about it Shuichi~," I tease. He's speechless and a red never seen before on a human face. "Do you want a gentleman~? Or an adorable male princess-like boyfriend~?" I teasingly ask. He adverts his gaze. "M-maybe a bit of both..." he shyly answers. My legs get tired, and I assume Shuichi do as well. I sit on a sofa, and lead Shuichi to sit next to me. I cuddle into him. "I know you like me~!" I tease at him. He has the most flustered expression as he nods. He slightly cuddles me back. As I cuddle with Shuichi I gaze at all the couples. Chiaki and Sonia, Kyoko and Makoto, Hajime and Nagito, Rantaro and Kaede, Kaito and Maki, Peko and Fuyuhiko, and so many more. Some are very unexpected with others completely nothing out of the ordinary. I cuddle into my beloved more as I sway to the music, and watch all of them have fun dancing. Shuichi wraps one arm around me, and gentle caresses the area behind my ear with his thumb. I melt into his touch. It felt so nice to be this close to him. At this point I just completely scoot onto his lap and cuddle in further. He chuckles lightly with his embarrassment reduced but still present. Kaede's eyes light up as she sees out position. She'll definitely be asking Shuichi questions later. A few people seem to have come alone. I kiss Shuichi's soft lips again. I nuzzle my face into the crook of his neck. "I wonder which kind of boyfriend you want... a gentleman or a feminine one... maybe a mix." I sigh in the heat of his body. He plays with the tips of my hair. He seems to be kind of shy to speak in a situation like this. The prom comes to a closing faster than I though it would. We all leave with people we came with, lovers or friends, I call up an Uber. "I could cuddle you in bed, Shuichi~" I teased. He's definitely not ready for that level yet. Not in a private bed. I drop Shuichi off. "I had a lot of fun... we should maybe uh go out again?" Shuichi says as he waves. He quickly enters his house. I get home as well. I take a shower, and get into more comfy clothing. I snuggle into my bed as I daydream about me and Shuichi together.
