Asher Hart, Hawkins resident psychopath. There wasn't that many people who hadn't heard about Asher and his family, and that wasn't in a good way. But after helping Dustin out with Dart which led to Asher making new friends, he started to change for...

Whenever Asher went to sleep, he'd been ending up in the same dream.
A cave, which looked like something from Nevada, with Max living there, stuck in Vecna's mind. He could never go in the cave, which happened to be where Max spent the majority of her time, but he would sit there, hoping that one day she'd come out. There has been times where Asher had shouted, screamed or done anything to get her attention, but nothing ever worked. Even though they were just dreams, they felt so real, giving Asher a sense of hope that Max is still there. She has to be.
Asher had been visiting the hospital every single day since that day. Seeing Max was the only time people actually saw him, apart from his visits to Eddie's grave, proving he was still actually alive. He didn't really say too much, though. As soon as visiting hours started, Asher would be there, sat next to Max's bed without barley muttering a word until visiting hours were over. The nurses always saw him there, asking him how his day had been and gave him some food. Even though Asher didn't say much to them apart from giving them a slight nod, he did appreciate their efforts. He also made sure to avoid when anyone else would be visiting Max as well.
After last year, Asher had started avoiding everyone, even Dustin. It wasn't out of selfishness or just being a complete asshole; it was because Asher was scared. He had lost too many people in his life; his mom, his best friend and pretty much his girlfriend. It was like everything that Asher touches in his life dies, and he didn't want to lose anyone else. Asher didn't want anyone else to get hurt or worse because of him.
So, Asher ghosted.
At the start, Dustin, Lucas, Eleven and even Steve tried to reach out to him so many times. They were worried about him. Asher wasn't one to normally break; he had been through so much to break so easily, but now, with losing his best friend and love of his life, Asher had finally reached his breaking point. And when Asher breaks, he isn't just sad and wollows in self-pity, no. He gets angry. They reached out to him, he lashed out. It happened every single time, but the last time they reached out, Asher had made sure none of them would want to see him ever again.
One Year Ago
Dustin was worried about Asher. Not in the normal 'oh, I hope they're okay' kind of way, it was something more than that. He never showed up at the Henderson household anymore, he had dropped out of school, he had been pulled into the police station twice now for questioning and he had completely and utterly gone of the deep end. The slighest thing made Asher angry, not frustrated, but full-blown anger. Dustin had never seen his brother like this before, but he knew he had to do something about it. The only question is, what should he do?
So, when Claudia got a call about Asher being pulled in for questioning for Chrissy, Fred and Patrick's murder cases once again, Dustin was the first person who showed up at the police station.
Asher didn't know why he kept getting pulled in for questioning. How could he have been an accomplise for three murder cases when he had strong alibis saying that he had never been near the murders, and the strongest point, he couldn't have been the accomplise when the 'murderer' wasn't even actually the murderer. At this point, Asher was just hoping they'd give up on it all.
"I'm guessing they had nothing on you again" Dustin says as he sees Asher walking out of the police station, striking the same blank look that had been on his face for the past six months.
"Obviously" Asher bluntly says, walking past Dustin, making the younger teenager follow "Why the fuck are you following me?"
"I... I just wanted to see how you're doing" Dustin calmly says "You haven't been around for a while. I've missed you."
"Yeah, well, I've had other things going on" Asher says as he stops walking, turning around to look at Dustin "Why do you even care anyways? Don't you have anything better to do?"
"You're my brother, of course I'm going to care" Dustin states, making Asher scoff.
"Brothers? You think that just because I've crashed at your place a few times, that makes us brothers?" Asher asks Dustin with a laugh, making a frown form on the younger teenager's face.
"I... I--" Dustin goes to say, trying to come up with the words.
"I-I-I? Jesus, do you say anything other than that?" Asher spits "Look, we aren't brothers and we'll never be brothers, got it? So do me a favour and stay the fuck out of my life, okay? I mean it, I don't want to see or hear from you ever again. And if you come near me again, I won't be as nice as I'm being now."
"You know, you're acting a lot like your dad right now" Dustin quietly says.
"Which one?" Asher asks, rolling his eyes.
"Both" Dustin calmly states before walking away from Asher, leaving the newly turned seventeen year old alone.
Present Day
After that day, no one had bothered to reach out to Asher again.
In a way, Asher regrets what he said to Dustin to this day. He shouldn't have been so harsh on him, because Dustin is his brother. Always has been, always will be. But, Asher did what he had to do. Two out of the three people that Asher cares about the most were gone, and Asher didn't want to risk losing Dustin either. Asher couldn't risk losing any of them, so Asher said what he had to so they wouldn't go near him again. He didn't want to be alone, but he knew the fate he had.
Asher Hart has always been destined to be alone and that would never change.
