Asher did not want to kidnap a child.

There were a lot of things, which is saying something, that Asher would refuse to do, and kidnapping is one of them. It was saying a lot coming from Asher, someone who wouldn't refuse to do many illegal things. However, like always, life was always against him, because now he's sat in the stupid van, waiting outside of the Turnbow house to kidnap a child. So, to take his mind off of having to kidnap a child, he had decided to take a nap.

Asher was in front of the same cave as always, the cave where Max always is. While this dream kept his hopes up about Max being able to wake up, it felt like a nightmare, because no matter what, he could never step foot into the cave. She couldn't hear him, he couldn't run over to her and tell her that he's here. All he could do is stand there, he had to leave her all alone.

"Max! You here?" Asher yells into the cave. He knows there was no hope in Max hearing him, but he would always still try. Maybe, in the small chance he had, she would hear him "Max! Hello?" He yells once again "I swear, if you're ignoring me on purpose because you always complained I talked to much, I'm going... actually I won't do anything, but this isn't funny if you are ignoring me!"

With a sigh, Asher sat down in front of the cave, like he always would. Maybe, if he could catch her coming out of the cave, then she would be able to hear him, but there is one problem with that... she never came out. Why she was staying in a cave for nearly two years, Asher had no clue. But she was safe, well, safe in whatever place she's in, and that's all that mattered to Asher.

"Ash! Ash! Wake up!" Mike yells, shaking Asher awake.

"Huh? Who died? What did I miss?" Asher mumbles out, rubbing his eyes to wake himself up, making Mike give him a confused look.

"Who died?" Mike asks Asher with a scoff.

"Hey, with everything going on, do you really blame me to assume that someone died?" Asher asks Mike "If I'm being honest, I'm suprised all of us have survived the past four years."

"You were talking in your sleep" Lucas mentions, giving Asher a sympathetic look.

Everyone in the van heard him, but they didn't mention anything more. They had just got Asher back, and if they brought up Max, they were scared he was going to breakdown and leave again. It was like Asher is glass, he's fixed now, but one little knock, he could completely shatter. And right now, they could not afford Asher to shatter.

"Me, talking in my sleep?" Asher asks with a scoff "Nah, I think you lot are hearing things, because I don't talk in my sleep" He says as they hear a scream come from inside of the Turnbow house "Well, I guess the plan's worked."

TIME SKIP BY ASHER HAVING LOGIC ABOUT BEING SURPRISED THAT EVERYONE IS PLOT PROTECTED

After spending ages setting up the Turnbow house for their plan, Asher and Lucas had planted themselves outside of Derek's room, waiting for a Demogorgon to show up. Asher thought it was stupid that he was pretty much the bait, once again. If anyone had a reason to make sure they don't die, it's Asher, because there is no way in hell he's going to let Max wake up and him not be there for her.

"You okay?" Lucas asks, glancing over at Asher, who was too busy staring into space.

"Oh, me?" Asher asks, looking over at Lucas "I'm great. Why wouldn't I be great?"

"I can list a lot of reasons. Your girlfriend is in a coma, you lost your best friend, your dad is trying to take over the world, your brother abandoned you, your dad who isn't actually your dad abused you your whole life..." Lucas sighs, making Asher look down. Lucas didn't mean to sound harsh, he just wanted to let Asher know that it's okay to not be okay, especially with everything he's been through "I'm just saying, if you want to back out at any point, none of us are going to blame you. We don't want you forcing yourself to be apart of this unless you're one hundred percent."

"I am one hundred percent" Asher nods "I want him dead, so yeah, I'm one hundred percent."

"Did you hear that?" Lucas whispers, leaning his head closer to the door as the lights start to flicker.

"Hear what?" Asher whispers back, hearing a crash in Derek's room "Oh shit, it worked" He whispers again before the two run into the room, throwing the water balloons at the demogorgan.

"Come get us you piece of shit!" Asher yells before the two run out of the room, making sure to jump over the tripwire in front of Derek's bedroom door, before making their way to the living room, jumping over the carpet and to the other side.

As they land, they see the demogorgan run in, right onto the carpet, falling down. But, the demogorgan grabs into the floor of the living room just in time as Mike quietly steps forward, hitting the demogorgan in the head.

"Get him!" Lucas yells as Mike hits the demogorgan in the head again, watching it fall into the basement.

"I'm surprised this plan is actually working" Asher comments, right before the demogorgan jumps back up, covered in barbedwire and fire.

"Get him Mike! Get him!" Lucas repeatably yells as Mike continutes to hit the demogorgan.

"That's not going to help him, you know?" Asher comments as he sees the demogorgan turn around, facing him and Lucas. Before the demogorgan can do anything, Asher grabs a hold of Lucas, dragging him to the other side of the living room as the demogorgan jumps, with a gate opening before it speeds through it.

"Okay, time for me to get to the kidnapped child" Asher mutters before getting up to go to the barn to meet Joyce, Robin, Erica and Will.
