We kept talking about many different topics while we ate. Once we were done, we had a cup of coffee.
We had a very good time together today. We got to know each other a bit more, and we had some great laughs.
When we finished our coffee, it was time to pay for the meal.
The waiter gave us the bill, and I looked at Niall, who grabbed it.
"Niall. How much is it?" I asked him.
"Oh, I'm not telling ya." He said.
"You are, and I'm paying at least half." I said.
"No way." He disagreed.
"Niall." I warned him.
"No. I am a gentleman, as you say." He said with a little smile on his face.
"You're still not paying for the whole thing." I insisted.
He nodded with his head. At that moment, the waiter came back.
"I'll pay with a card, thanks." Niall said, and looked at me with a smirk on his face.
I looked at him with a slight pissed look on my face. I hate it when people pay for me. It makes me feel pretty bad, if that makes sense.
The waiter left with the now paid bill, leaving Niall and I alone again.
"Thank you Niall. But I'm paying next time." I told him.
"So there will be next time." He smiled.
"Niall, I'll remind you about this." I warned him.
"Sure." He said, but his tone didn't convince me at all.
After that, we left the place.
"Viiiic." He said, and placed his arm around my shoulders, as he saw I was still a bit pissed off.
"You didn't have to pay." I told him.
"I know, but I wanted to. This was my idea after all." He said.
"Thank you." I placed my arm around his waist as we walked.
"Don't need to thank me." He said, and kissed my cheek, making me blush and smile nervously.
"Want to walk for a bit? We can get the car later." He asked.
"Sure." I agreed.
There was a park nearby, so we walked there. Still with his hand around my shoulders and my arm around his waist.
"What if someone recognizes us like this?" I asked him.
"Nothing will happen. But we can separate a bit if you're more comfortable with that." He assured me.
