Christmas. It is always a special day.

This year, as well as all the last ones, my aunt Anna, my mom's sister, is coming over with her husband, Uncle Sam, and their two kids, Maya and Leo, to have dinner with us.

Aunt Anna is 14 years younger than my mom, so her kids are a lot younger than me. It is always fun to see them.

It is also crazy to me that my grandma was younger than I am right now when she had my mom. Even if she was just a year younger. I still feel like I'm too young for children, which is not strange.

Mom, dad and I spent the morning at home, preparing everything for the evening. We placed the Christmas tree and tidied up the house.

I have also called Niall and Rachel separately to wish them a happy Christmas. They did the same, and we talked about our plans for today.

Niall said he is spending it with his grandma, like he does every year. Rachel is going to meet with some cousins of hers, since, as well as Niall, she doesn't have any relationship with her parents.

I actually admire both of them a lot for being able to live without their parents. I can't imagine my life without mines. In their case, it is, sadly, the best for them, but I still admire the strength they had to have in order to realize that.

I haven't talked deeply about it with any of them. However, by what they have told me about their story with their families, I know this is the best for them, and I'm so glad they are happy with their current lives. Both of them deserve the world.

I'm so happy I'm able to be a part of their lives now, and that they are a part of mine.

During the afternoon, my parents and I finished the preparation for the evening. We laid the table, and made dinner in the kitchen, while we talked about different things.

The message Niall and I were sent at the airport didn't leave my head, despite me trying to avoid thinking of it at all costs.

My parents know nothing about it, so I want to talk about many other different things with them, so they don't even suspect something is wrong. Especially when I don't even know if something is.

"Are you two coming to the Birmingham match at Liverpool then?" I asked while we were cooking together.

"Are you sure we can go there? With all the directives around?" Mom asked.

"You do realize I am a directive too, and I can invite whoever I want, right?" I chuckled. "And I also want you both to meet everyone there, you are going to love them." I said.

"You're right, you're right. It is still hard for me to believe that our little Vi has made it so far." Mom let out a small laugh.

"If she says we can be there, we have to be there, Sofia. I want to go. I'm sure that at work they don't mind if I take a couple of free days." Dad said.
