March started similarly to how February ended.

Sportingly, everything is good. We're still fighting for 5th place in the league, and we keep getting closer, which is causing more and more excitement among the club and the fans each week.

Personally speaking, I'm the happiest I've been in a while. Niall and I see each other more days after work than before, just to have dinner together, go on a walk, or something like that, and we somehow still aren't tired of seeing each other's faces the whole time. It's the total opposite I'd say. When he leaves me at my apartment at night, I'm already looking forward to seeing him again at work the morning after.

The 'public bomb' has calmed down a bit now. There's still talks about Niall and I's personal lives, but they're not as intense. What Bill said about avoiding unnecessary contact in club events seems to be working, at least partly, as there's still some random Twitter account that doesn't drop the topic, and keeps getting attention for it.

Niall and I, in relationship terms, haven't taken any further steps, even if it's obvious to both of us that we're not just friends. However, I'm so glad none of us feel the pressure to do so, and are taking things as they come.

I want to do things right with him, because I know he wants to do the same. That means that, if we both were to start a relationship, we would have to be mentally prepared for it. At least I would need to. I, before now, didn't imagine myself trusting a man, that is not my dad, ever again.

I never imagined myself falling in love with someone this way, after Nate.

But here I am, walking to work, on March 13th, looking forward to seeing the same man's face I last saw 10 hours ago.

I arrived at Everton's headquarters normally, and walked to our office. Niall was just taking his coat off when I arrived.

"Good morning." I said, and gave him a little smile.

"Good morning." He gave me a small grin back. "Slept well?"

"Yeah, you?" I asked.

"Mhm." He nodded. "Very well."

I smiled at him softly again, took off my coat as well, and we both sat at our desks, to start working.

During most of the morning, he sat at one of the chairs in front of my desk, with the desk itself between us. That way, we could do some numbers, work on sponsor deals, and start organizing the contract renewals we will have to do in the next couple of months, together.

Both of us were very focused on our work, with papers all over my desk, when we were suddenly called to the assembly hall, which we also use as the club's big reunions room, through our office's telephone.

"That's weird." I told Niall right after we hung up the call.

"It is, yeah. Must be something important." He said.
