The next day, Niall and I had lunch with Mason and his agent, so we could talk about his transfer to Everton. They are traveling to Liverpool with us today to sign all the papers with Bill as well. Then, his agent will leave to his home again and Mason will stay at Liverpool to start his era as an Everton F.C. player.
Mason has already told us a few times how thankful he is that we are signing him. That he's so happy to be in the club I'm in.
On the one hand, I'm glad he appreciates me this much, as I appreciate him a lot too. He's a great person, and my time at Blackpool was a success sportingly thanks to players like him.
On the other hand, I don't like to see the players I brought to Blackpool want to leave this quickly now. It makes me feel bad for leaving and not being able to take all of them with me.
I remember many players telling me they were leaving with me, when I told them I was. They knew what the situation in the club was, and still is, and didn't want to stay if I wasn't there.
Last summer, because of that, I spent many hours looking for clubs that could need players like them. I didn't want any of them to feel like, as they were not my players now, I didn't have interest in them anymore. I talked to all their agents very often, and they all still thank me for my help every time I see them.
I'm glad to see at least all of those players, now that Mason is about to become an Everton player, have found a new club.
I more less can imagine how bad the situation must be in Blackpool right now, for what I've seen and heard. But I'm sure I would still be surprised if I was told everything that's going on there.

After lunch, Niall and I packed our stuff at the hotel, and got ready to leave.
"It's been a short but intense trip, hasn't it?" Niall smiled while he placed his clothes in his suitcase.
"Definitely." I chuckled while I was also packing my clothes. "By the way, I've thought of something." I told him, with a little smirk on my face.
"I'm all ears." He looked at me, curious.
"I think we should follow the transfer period tradition, you know?" I smirked.
"I see where you're getting at." He had a little smirk on his face as well, since he knew perfectly what I was talking about.
"The transfer period ends tomorrow anyway, we could wait until 11:59 pm to announce the transfer publicly." I smiled.
"And we will." He smiled. "We will register him before that though." Niall chuckled.
"Of course." I let out a small laugh, remembering what happened with the register page last August, knowing he was talking about that.
Once we were done packing, we left for the train station.
