Niall and I left for the hotel in a taxi after he told Zayn that I was just feeling a bit sick, in case someone asked.

Once we were there, we walked to our rooms. We weren't talking much. I was still processing what had happened, and I believe he understood that, which I appreciate.

"Here we are. Are you feeling any better?" He asked once we were at our room's doors, which were one in front of the other.

"Kinda. Thank you." I said, in a lower tone than usual.

"Good. And no problem, you know that." He smiled.

"Niall." I said.

"Hm?" He asked, still smiling softly.

"Do you mind if we stay together in a room until the others arrive? I prefer your company to being alone right now." I asked.

"Of course." He smiled. "I wanted to ask you but I wasn't sure if you would want to. There's more than enough space on my bed, we can watch the post-match program together, if you want to." He suggested.

"Sounds great." I smiled softly.

He then smiled again and opened the door for me. I texted Rachel the moment we entered Niall's room, as she is my roommate and I didn't want her to worry if she didn't see me.

"I am at the hotel already. I left earlier, I felt a bit sick, but I'm fine, don't worry. Text me when you arrive, enjoy the rest of the night!"

After that, I left my phone on the bedside table and both of us took off our shoes and sat on Niall's double bed, still with our suits on, supporting our backs on the couple of pillows there.

He turned on the tv in front of the bed and we watched the post-match program. It showed a recap of the match's highlights, interviews, and three people commenting on all of that.

I noticed that Niall and I were coming closer to each other every time, but I didn't care at all.

He placed his arm around my shoulders, and I rested my head on his shoulder. He then started caressing my arm slowly with that same arm, which felt so comforting.

I suddenly saw my face on the tv screen, with a text below that said: "Victoria Greenwood received a huge applause from Blackpool's supporters after her brilliant last season as their sports director."

"That was a fun moment." Niall commented.

"Felt good, yeah." I smiled.

Then, they showed Mason on the screen, being interviewed.

"Let's see what he says." I told Niall.

After a couple of questions about the match, he got asked about me, which surprised me.
