The weekend passed quickly, and we went back to work on Monday.

We play against Bournemouth this Sunday, in our stadium, so the team will focus on that this week.

I've spent the whole weekend thinking about last Friday night. The way I felt, and the conversation Rach and I had.

I've reached the conclusion that I should think about anything else, and distract myself from those feelings. They will go away eventually.

That's exactly what I did. Thursday arrived, and Niall and I had exactly the same relationship that we've had since the end of the transfer period.

We were in the office working normally, until Mr Kenwright texted me. He wanted me to go to his office for a moment.

"Niall, I'm going to Mr Kenwright's office, I'll be right back." I told him.

"Is everything ok?" He asked.

"I hope so." I said nervously, and left.

I knocked on Mr Kenwright's office's door softly when I arrived.

"Come in." He said, and I entered the room.

"Greenwood, good morning." He said.

"Good morning, you needed me?" I asked.

"Yeah, please sit." He told me, and I sat in a chair in front of his table, facing him.

"So, I don't know if you know, but it is Horan's birthday tomorrow." He started, surprising me automatically.

"Is it? I had no idea, he didn't tell me." I admitted.

"He doesn't like the attention." Mr Kenwright laughed. "The thing is the club is preparing him a little surprise, and I wanted to have your opinion, you are the one that spends the most time with him." He said. "And also, some sports directors have considered it a bad idea to celebrate birthdays. I don't know if you do."

"I would love to be part of it. I would never consider that a bad idea." I replied.

"Great then." He smiled. "I have a few decorations to place around the office. And this year he will receive a pin from the club, look at it." He showed me a pin with Everton F.C's badge.

"It looks really nice. He will like it in my opinion. And I think that the idea of giving him a little celebration will be fun." I smiled.

"Great then. Have this garland and place it in your office when Horan leaves, so it is there when he arrives tomorrow." He told me.

"Great." I replied. "I can decorate the hallways too, so we all surprise him when he arrives tomorrow." I suggested.

"That is a great idea, thank you Greenwood." He said.

"No problem." I smiled.

"If you are going to decorate everything it may be better if I leave everything hidden in this drawer. He might suspect something if you walk in your office with so many decorations." He suggested. "Can I trust you with my office's keys?" He asked.
