I stared at him open mouthed for a moment before flinging myself down on a chair. "Alright that's it. Alexander, you're dead!" I yelled glaring at him as he sat down opposite me.

"What have I done now?" he complained.

"I cannot believe that you didn't tell me" I sighed dramatically, "that this bloody album was for Boyzone!"

He looked at me sheepishly. "No"

"Why the hell didn't you tell me before?!"

"'Cause I wasn't sure you'd say Yes"

I thought about this for a moment before saying, "Yeah, you're damn right"

We both laughed and then Gregg apologised again before pulling out some stuff from his bag that I hadn't noticed was on the sofa in the corner of the room.

"Ok, so here's some stuff I've been playing around with. I think we should have a look at these few first"

I looked at the scrawled lyrics and song title ideas and just nodded. "I'll follow your lead Gregg, you know I've never done anything like this before"

Gregg laughed and just told me to use my writers instinct. I smiled but still couldn't get over the fact I was going to be writing for Boyzone and he hadn't told me.

"What?" he asked as he caught me staring at him. "Well, I was just wondering, is there anything else I need to know?!" I said half joking.

Gregg looked at me sheepishly, "Actually there is something"

"I, erm, I didn't tell you Rick was coming. Sorry!"

I felt my stomach flip at the mention of his name. "Rick, Rick?" I asked breathlessly. Gregg nodded. "Are you two ok then?" he nodded again not saying anything.

Rick Nowels had been Greggs partner in crime, or should I so co-writer for many years, they'd worked on a couple of Ronan Keating's albums together and Rick had been around behind the scenes when me and Adam had been 'having a go' at writing a record.

But they'd had a massive falling out a few years ago over one of Dido's songs, if I remember correctly.

To this day I couldn't really tell you what it was about, it was something only the two of them knew. But as long as they were ok now, then that was all that mattered to me.

"Well that's good news" I smiled. "I know, I just.."

"What?"

"Well I genuinely forgot about you and..."

"Oh" I said quietly, trying not to let my emotions show "so had I"

Me and Rick had had a bit of a 'fling' shall we say when he was helping Gregg on mine and

Adam's album. It had been lust really, I just hadn't seen at the time, and I'd let the crazy American guy break my heart. but Gregg didn't know that, and he wasn't going to either. "Don't worry about it Gregg. that's ancient history"

"What's ancient history?" I froze in my seat. I would know that voice anywhere. "Vic's love life"

I scowled at Gregg across the table. I'd never met Ronan Keating, although he was a member of my favourite band, Boyzone, and now Gregg was dragging him into my private life.

Honestly! Men were useless. I swivelled around in my chair and tried not to blush, but it was useless, I was pretty sure I was bright red.

"Hi" I said cautiously.

"Hi Vicky?"

"That's me"

"I'm Ronan, Ronan Keating"

"I know" I said before I could stop myself.

"You do?"

"I'm erm, a friend of Greggs" I muttered, blushing. Didn't really want to admit yet that I was a life long Boyzone fan.

"Oh right, how come we've never met before"

"I have no idea?" I looked at him confused.

Was he flirting with me? Surely not, wasn't he married? Probably just my Boyzone imagination working on overdrive.

He's just a normal guy, I tried to tell myself. But it was useless, I found myself shaking as he shook my hand, and choking over my words as I asked him to "call me Vic"
