But as usual I did nothing But to be honest I never really got the opportunity to. There was always someone else in the studio with us, be it Gregg, Stephen or even Mikey on occasion.

So we flirted a little, as we always had, but neither of us made a move towards the other. I knew how I felt about Ro, but to be honest, I had no idea how he felt about me, so I left it there.

I had already broken the news to Mark, that me and Mike had split up so that we weren't asked any awkward questions about sleeping arrangement in London, though I asked him not to say anything to anyone.

I had told Kim a while ago, but I didn't see the point in telling everyone, it wasn't really any of their business. And to be fair I don't really think that me and Mike had told anyone when we had gotten together it had just kind of happened.

The following days passed quickly and before I knew it it was time for us all to leave for London. Me and Gregg flew out a day after the Boyz. They had to go and meet with the studio executives, and they didn't really need us there.

So we had arranged to meet up with them all in the hotel bar after we had arrived for dinner and drinks. Although it was a short flight from Dublin to London I slept most of the way. I was totally shattered, but I had been staying up til all hours writing recently, so it was hardly surprising.

In fact if it hadn't been for Ro's insistence that they wanted us at the album recording I probably wouldn't have bothered going and wouldn't tried to get my book finished instead.

Gregg woke me up just before the final descent. I wish he hadn't bothered as I felt my ears pop and the familiar nausea wash over me. "Are you ok Vic?" he asked me. I shook my head, "I don't do landings..."

"Oh shit! I forgot you didn't like flying. Sorry love, I should've let you sleep"

"It's ok love, no worries. I'm awake now anyway. Just don't be surprised if I throw up over you!"

"You'd better not" he threatened with a wink.

The landing thankfully was fairly smooth, but I still breathed a sigh of relief as we hit the tarmac.

We disembarked reasonably quickly and passed through passport control and collected our bags before making our way out to the taxi that Mark had booked for us. I didn't even know where we were staying, couldn't remember it being mentioned. I didn't think Gregg knew either, so I hoped that Mark had told the taxi driver!!

We ended up about an hour later (the London traffic as always was horrendous) outside the Mayfair hotel in central London and I smiled to myself. As a Boyzone fan I should've known they'd be staying there, they nearly always did.

"Ooh this is nice" said Gregg as we got out of the taxi and the driver helped us with our cases. I laughed, "yep, the Boyz know how to live"

"Come on let's check in, I could do with a lie down before we meet the others"

"Ok"

We made our way into the hotel and checked in effortlessly. The receptionist pointed out the lifts and the bar and restaurant areas and waved us on our way. Gregg said he wanted to go and check out the spa, so I left him to it and got in the lift to find my own room.

We were on the tenth floor, so there was no way I was taking the stairs.

I stepped out of the lift onto the tenth floor and looked around me for room 1010, I smiled as I realised it was right in front of me. Not far to stumble after a night out with the lads...

"Hey Vic!"

I'd have recognised his voice anywhere. But...

I turned around startled to see him walking towards me. "Hey Ro. Aren't you meant to be in the studio?"

"I forgot something" he said, "had to come back. How are you?"

He was now standing in front of me. I looked up at him. "I'm good thanks Ro"

"Good" he said and hugged me suddenly. "We'll catch up later Vic. I've gotta go" He leant and kissed my cheek then jumped in the lift before the doors closed.

I touched my cheek gently where he'd kissed me, then let myself into my room in a bit of a daze. I was led on my bed having a little bit of a daydream when I was disturbed by a knock on the door.

I swore as I stubbed my toe on the sofa on my way to the door, and opened the door to see Gregg grinning at me.
