Seventeen

I think I must've looked more upset than I sounded because Keith had his arms around me suddenly and he was pulling me into a hug. 

"You know where I am if you want to talk about it.. I owe you anyway" he said. 

I smiled "thanks Keith. but I'm fine honestly"

He let me go and looked around the office, "hey where is everyone anyway?"

"You're early Duster" I said with a grin, "Kim must be a good influence on you"

"Hmph" he muttered, "you want a coffee?"

"Nah, I'm ok" I said as I sat down at my desk and pulled my phone from my bag. 

I had 1 missed call from Rick and a text from Kim. I ignored the missed call and grinned as I opened up my text inbox.

Vic. I love you!! x

I laughed out loud and Keith looked at me curiously.

"Nothing" I said shaking my head at him as I text her back.

Funnily enough so does Mr. Duffy ;) xx

Me and Rick broke up : (  We need to catch up soon. xx

I added as an afterthought.

Aw hun : (  You ok? Yes we do. You free tonight? xx

Erm, no out with the lads...I'll get Keith to text you xx

"Duffy, text your girlfriend!" I yelled at him over the noise of the kettle.

"What girlfriend?" Keith grinned at me. I stuck my tongue out at him. "Well if she's not yet. She should be soon"

"I've never seen you with such a spring in your step"

Keith smiled and hugged me again suddenly. "I know. Thanks Vic, seriously"

"I'm gonna ask Kim out tonight. Do you think she'll say yes?"

I smiled. "I don't think you'll be disappointed. Now bloody ring her and make sure she comes down the pub tonight!!"

Keith laughed and mock saluted me. "Yes ma'am". I watched as he pulled his phone out of his pocket and left the room, "send her my love" I yelled after him.

 I didn't hear his response but I guessed it was rude, and grinned to myself as I sat down to do some work.
