Seventy Two

"I came to claim back what's mine" she said simply, glaring at me. "Looks like I was just in time"

"Come on Ro. Won't you let me in so we can talk?"

"We have nothing to talk about Yvonne" said Ronan, moving behind me to slip his arms around my waist. 

"Now, if you'll excuse us..." Ronan went to slam the door, but Yvonne had her foot in the way. 

"For fecks sake Yves. Why won't you just let it be.."

"I'm not going anywhere until you speak to me" she said stubbornly. 

I turned and touched Ronan's arm softly. "Ro maybe we should.."

"No Vic. We had plenty time to talk. In fact I talked for Ireland. But she never fecking listened to me!"

"And I'm sorry" she said. "Please Ronan, just five minutes"

He looked at me. I nodded. "I'll wait outside"

"No Vic, you don't have to.."

"It's fine Ro, honestly"

I held the door open and allowed Yvonne to pass me, before leaving the room quietly and shutting the door behind me. 

I paced up and down the corridor for a while before sitting down outside the room. I could hear them yelling at each other and assumed that it wasn't going well for Yvonne.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

We went back to Dublin a few days after that particular encounter. Somebody had messed up the interview slots with the magazine, which meant that we would have to come back later in the month them off.

It wasn't until we were back in Dublin Ronan begun to change. At first it was really subtle. And if I hadn't known him so well, I probably wouldn't have noticed. 

Then he began to talk about his ex wife non stop, saying that he thought she had changed and if things were different then maybe they could've made it work. 

I could've hit him.

But he also said that he loved me, didn't want to lose me, and that he would never go back to her as long as he had me. And I believed him. It wasn't until we back in London filming Loose Women for the album promo, that it all went horribly wrong.
