Gregg and I were mucking around in the office a couple of days later when Ronan came in singing.

Why-hy-hy

I lay my heart down on the floor

I showed you love but you wanted more

'til I gave it all away

I shivered as Ronan sang 'floor'. There was something about the way he sang that word that made me go weak at the knees.

Stephen came into the room at that moment and joined in. I laughed as Gregg pulled a face at that and told them to be quiet. I knew he had a hangover but Stephen took the opportunity to tease Gregg. "Jealous are we Alexander?"

I laughed again. The song that Steo and Ro were singing had been written for the album, but not by me, Gregg, Shelley or Karen. It had been written by Mika and every time Stephen sang it he took the piss out of Gregg for being jealous that he hadn't written it himself.

"Hmph" Gregg muttered something unintelligible under his breath, knowing him, it was probably rude.

Stephen grinned and Ronan kept singing under his breath. I tried to concentrate on the paper in front of me, but I was finding it increasingly hard.

He kept glancing at me every now and then, and I'm pretty sure he knew the effect that he was having on me. I think Stephen did as well because he kept grinning at me cheekily.

I couldn't help but smile. Apparently he'd come in to wind me up solely, as not long after that he left to meet up with Anthony somewhere.

"Right come on you two, I need to do some work"

"I am doing work!" I said, "but I don't know about him" I grinned pointing in Ronan's direction.

He swiped me on the arm lightly and I grinned again. "Children!!"

"Sorry Gregg" I said pretending to be remorseful, but I still had a grin on my face.

"Right anyway...I wasn't lying. I have done some work. I was watching a place in the sun last night..." I paused and laughed as Gregg and Ronan both pulled faces at me. "And I came up with this...but I'm not sure if we can actually use it for anything"

On the cobble stone streets in the summer light
Taste the salt and the breeze as it blows by
All the sand is as white as snow

Hear the waves as they race to the finish line
See the water sparkling diamond like
Every cloud must have stayed at home

"Wow Vic, that's brilliant. Now I know why you're a best selling author!!" exclaimed Ronan.

I turned to him and was about to whack him around the head with my paper 'cause I thought he was taking the piss, but then I realised that he was deadly serious and instead I blushed profusely. "Thank you" I said quietly.

"Now you know why I wanted her on side" said Gregg with a smile.

"Now let's see" he took the paper from in front of me and slid it across the table toward him. "I think to go with all this, we need something about sun..."

We were all reasonably silent for a moment before Ronan came up with "Oh, the sun is a fire, In the sky and it's blazing"

I nodded my approval before humming to myself for a few moments then singing quietly, "All the colours it makes. As it falls to the sea so amazing"

Gregg was scribbling frantically as he was now the only one with paper, and he had bloody nicked my pen!

I looked at Ronan who was smiling to himself and somehow came up with the line "It ain't nothing without you"
