"Hey you"

"How was the spa?"

"Brilliant"

"What are you looking so excited about?"

"Nothing" I muttered, "I just bloody stubbed my toe!!"

"Oh" he said. "Anyway, I just came to tell you. Ro called me...." he paused to gauge my reaction, but I just folded my arms over my chest, "yeah, and?"

"He says we're to meet in the bar at 8pm"

I glanced at my watch. "Cool, so what are you up to for the next few hours?"

"Dunno I might just have a lie in down"

"Ok, cool, well I'll knock for you about quarter to 8 yeah?"

"Yeah sure"

I examined my toe as I shut the door behind Gregg, it was slightly bruised but looked ok. I unpacked my stuff and put it away in various cupboards and drawers, then deliberated over going for a swim or sitting down to write, and decided to write.

I sat at the desk in my room pulled out my laptop from my bag and opened it up, then opened up my emails, nothing of any interest.

Then I opened the draft of my novel which I had provisionally titled, 'He loves me, he loves me not'.

My heroine was a girl who met her favourite pop star and fell deeply in love with him, but she wasn't sure he felt the same. Let's just say I had been inspired by events over recent months

The way he looked at her and the way he touched her. Every part of her believed that he felt the same as her. But she just could not bring herself to ask him if he felt the same as she did. And for it, she was miserable.

You are a coward, Sayer. I gently chided myself as I glanced at the clock it was 7:15.

Amazing where the time goes when you're working!

I saved my work and shut my laptop down, had a quick shower and pulled a dress from the wardrobe. I'd packed it at the last minute, not sure if I'd need it or not, and then had decided than a little black dress was always needed.

I slipped it over my head, applied some make up quickly then piled my hair up and clipped it into place. It wasn't brilliant, but it would have to do for now.

I was just slipping my feet into my black heels when there was a knock at the door. I looked up confused, I thought I had said I was going to collect Gregg, but I wouldn't have put it past him to have not actually been listening...

I walked over and opened the door to find Ronan on the other side, looking gorgeous in jeans and a white shirt. "Hey" he said. "I came to see if you wanted to go for a drink before dinner?"

"I.."

I had lost the ability to speak apparently.

why did this always happen?

Argh!

"I'd love to" I said, "but I was meant to be meeting Gregg"

"He's not invited" Ronan winked at me. "Well I'd better go and tell him hadn't i?" I smiled as I ushered Ronan into my room and asked him to wait a sec. I left the room and knocked on the door of the room next to mine 1012. "Vic?"

Gregg looked confused as he opened the door. "I'm just going for a drink with Ro" I hesitated slightly. "I er, I'm not sure you're invited" I said sheepishly.

"Oh right. I see" he said pretending to be annoyed. "Well, I'll see you downstairs in a bit then"

"Good luck Vic" he laughed as he shut the door. I shook my head and went back to my own room.

Ro had left the door slightly ajar and was sat on the edge of the sofa waiting. "Hey you. I'm ready now" I leant over him slightly to pick up the key that I'd left on the sofa earlier, picked up my bag and offered him my hand to get up off the sofa.

He put his hand in mine and stood up slowly. he locked eyes with me and I swallowed. He stroked my hand softly with his thumb and said, "you're got really small hands Vic" I looked at him embarrassed.

"I'm kind of a small person Ro" He laughed and let my hand go and I started to breath properly again, but then he put his arm around my shoulder instead and I almost passed out.

When we got down to the bar Ro went and ordered our drinks whilst I found us a quiet table. He bought back a bottle of white wine and two glasses, set them down on the table, then took the chair next to me, brushing his leg against mine as he sat down.

The contact against my bare skin gave me goose bumps and I tried not to shiver as he poured the wine. "Here you are"

"Thanks Ro"

"No problems" he picked up his own glass and raised it to mine. "Sliante"

"Slainte" I echoed quietly and took a sip of my wine as Ronan studied me carefully. "Nice to see your legs out again Vic" he said cheekily. I blushed furiously and didn't know what to say. "You know I..."

"Ah so that's where you're hiding Vic!"

"Duster said you'd arrived, but I couldn't find you anywhere"

Ronan muttered something unintelligible under his breath, and I looked up to see Kim grinning at me. I hadn't even realised she was here, but I guess we were gonna be here for a while recording.

"Hey. You ok?" She nodded. "Hope I'm not interrupting anything" I shook my head and Ronan just looked embarrassed.
