I picked up the post a few weeks later and handed a wad of letters from Ro, and looked confused as there was some mail for me. The tenant's in my house had obviously redirected it. I opened the letter and read it with interest.
It was an invitation from Chepstow Bookshop to go and do a signing, apparently the publishing house had already agreed to it. Nice of them to ask me first, I mused?
"Ro. I need to go to home, to Chepstow"
"Hmm?" he said absentmindedly reading his own post.
"I've had a letter, from the bookshop, they want me to do a signing"
"That's great. isn't it?"
"It's next week Ro"
"Oh"
Ronan was due to be away with the lads next week doing the photo shoot for the album. "But I can go by myself, it's fine"
"Are you sure?"
I nodded. "Of course"
And so less than a week later I was on a plane to Cardiff with my agent Katie. My dad was due to pick us up at the airport, although Katie had offered me a car.
I'd laughed at her and said I was an author not a rock star.
There were hundred of photographers waiting when we touched down at Cardiff and I assumed the welsh rugby team or Katharine Jenkins and Gethin Jones were jetting off somewhere, it never once occurred to me that they were looking for pictures of me.
I was walking down the road past the newsagents on my way to the bookshop the next day when I came across a copy of the South Wales Argus, with my picture on the front of it. "What the..."

Screamed the headline at me.
