Lucifer's pov
The pride ring 1950
"Okay" I fixed my hair, giving myself a confident smile "today's the day. Lucifer morningstar is finally going to rectify his mistakes and redeem his people. No pressure, not even a little!" My eye twitched.
"You're going to be fine sweetheart" Lilith placed my hat on my head "there's nothing us dreamers can't do when we put our minds to it" I smiled at her words. She always knows what to say.
"Actually honey I think I'll leave the hat here" I took a hat off, placing it on the desk "I don't want my people to see me as a king, I want them to see me as just like them" I gestured to my pink shirt with white stripes and white trousers.
"I see. Then I should change too" she clicked her fingers, appearing in a purple silk shirt and a black skirt "how do I look"
"Like the beautiful woman I fell in love with" I swooned.
"Oh you charmer" she stroked my cheek lovingly "now let's go. The limo waiting outside"
"Not just yet. We have to say goodbye to Charlie first" I ran over and knocked on the door "honey we're going now but don't worry, we're going to call all the time"
"Don't bother" she spat "you're both abandoning me on some pointless quest. A couple of phone calls won't make that better"
"Charlie I-"
"Lucifer" Lilith stopped me "it's alright. Just give her her space"
I reluctantly nodded as we walked out to the limo. I felt guilty as the limo drove on. My guilty thoughts were cut short by Lilith grabbing my hand.
"I know what you're thinking" she smiled softly "Charlie's a stubborn girl, she gets that from you" she booped my nose, making me pout "she'll come around. Just give her time"
"You're right, thanks lil" I gave her a greatful smile.
"Of course love" she kissed my forehead "it seems we're here" the two of us stepped out where our new hotel stepped in all it's glory.
I cracked my knuckles. It's go time!
