Lucifer's pov
I was wandering around the hotel absentmindedly when I saw an interesting sight.
"So if I jump my wings will come back" he looked at Lilith expectedly.
"Yeah that's how Lucifer learnt to fly again" she shrugged "it's a leap of faith so to speak"
"You're not fucking with me are you?" He looked at her skeptically.
"What's wrong Adam? Feeling chicken?" She said teasingly.
"Fuck no!" He glared at her "The original dick master is no pussy! Here I go!"
"No!" I flew down and caught him before hitting the ground "are you okay Adam?"
"What-you lying bitch!" Adam yelled at Lilith who was grinning smugly.
"Lilith!" I gave her a stern look.
"What! It's not like he would have died" she rolled her eyes.
"He could have gotten hurt" I held him protectively. He nodded as he wrapped his arms around me.
I gently placed him back on his feet, giving Lilith a stern look.
She sighed "I'm sorry Adam"
I turned to Adam. He sighed "I forgive you Lilith"
"See, doesn't that feel much better" I took them by the hands and pulled them towards each other "you two will be friends by the end of this. Mark my words" the two of them grimaced but I was determined. We'll be a big happy family-
My thoughts were cut off by the phone ringing. It was an unknown number. Raising a skeptical eyebrow I answered.
"Hello..are you serious!...ahuh ahuh... We'll be there first thing tomorrow!" I hung up with an excited squeal "guys I just got an interview at 666 news!"
"Darling that's amazing" Lilith smiled genuinely for the first time in a while.
I rushed up and pulled the two of them into a hug "this is going to be so amazing. Finally a chance to get our business out there!"
"Hey Luc" Adam grabbed my arm as we were strolling away "could you not mention me during your interview" he gripped his arm nervously. I've never seen him this scared before "I haven't told eve about all this yet-"
"Afraid of upsetting the missus. I getcha" I winked at him "don't worry, I won't say a word"
"Thanks" he breathed a sigh of relief, his fear seemingly melting away. Though it does beg the question.
How could he's living away from eve in the first place?
