Seth's pov

"And that is all for today. I'm seth eden, this has been the news"

I let out an exhausted sigh as the camera's shut off. How tiring. I have both a fashion show and a news station to run. I wish Cain was here.

I walked back to my bed when I heard something interesting.

"Cain sweetie you have to come back, we miss you" mom spoke on the phone "no you must understand your father is manipulating you-" he hung up. Mother let out a deep sigh. My eyebrows furrowed. I'm ending this now.

*Time skip*

I arrived at the hotel and knocked on the door. Our king and moms enemy Lucifer answered the door.

"Ah your seth right?" he gave me a kind smile. I rolled my eyes. I've always been the forgotten eden child.

"Where's my brother" I growled.

"Oh well Cain's inside-" I shoved him aside and marched inside.

Cain turned around in shock "Seth? The fuck are you doing here"

I grabbed him by the arm "this game has gone on long enough Cain. We're going home"

"There's no way I'm going back to that abusive bitch" he pulled back.

"Oh please dad made her life a living hell. He had what's coming" I glared at him.

"The fuck did you say you little bitch" he grabbed me by the shirt and it looked like we were about to get into a fight when-

"Boys stop!" We turned around to see dad standing there "Cain let go of your brother"

"But dad-"

"I said let go of him" he said sternly. Cain reluctantly let go of me. I shot him a glare. He sighed "seth what exactly did your mother tell you?"

"Just the truth" I growled.

"I highly doubt anything your mother says is the truth" he grumbled before giving me a smile "I'm sorry son. You shouldn't have to choose between us. Hell we barely gave you any attention growing up. If you don't mind I'd like to make up for that"

"Make up to me?" I looked at him in confusion. Why's he being so nice?

"Yeah. Let's get a drink together. That alright with you lute?" he turned to the bartender.

"Already pouring the drinks" she smiled as she grabbed a bottle.

"What do you say kiddo? Wanna have a drink with your old man?" He gave me a warm smile.

I should have said no and stayed loyal to my mother but I couldn't help but agree. His happy smile strangely made me feel like I made the right decision.

"It's been so long. You've grown into a fine man" he patted my shoulder proudly.

"You really think so?" I looked up in surprise.

"Of course. Your clothes designs are the shit! I'm actually wearing some of them right now" he showed off his golden jacket. It was one of my first designs.

"You've been supporting me from the start" I whispered.

"Of course I have. You're my son" he rubbed my back "I know I've been a shit dad when you were young. I lost two sons and wasn't ready to raise another but I think I'd like to try again. Cain and everyone here made me realise I'm not as big a screw up as I thought"

Lute gave his hand a reassuring squeeze "are those two together?" I whispered to Cain.

"No but they will be when I'm done with them" Cain smirked. What a nosey guy!

As I shared a drink with my father I just grew more and more confused. If my father has been as supportive and kind as he was then what reason would mom have to mistreat him?

*Time skip*

"Mom can I talk to you?" I approached her.

"Make it quick dear I'm busy" she didn't even look at me.

I took a deep breath "mom can you please let dad's soul go"

She stopped what she was doing "what?"

"Mom he's not a bad person. He's been nothing but kind to me and Cain-"

"Oh so as long as he's nice to you that's all that matters. Who cares about what he did to your poor mother!" She said tearfully.

I ignored the guilty feeling in my chest "did dad really mistreat you?" She stiffened up at my question "cause I find it strange how Cain doesn't seem to remember dad ever being abusive-" I was cut off with a smack to the face.

"You dare question me? You don't have the right. You're nothing but a replacement child so don't get cute with me!"

"I've got my answer" I stood up, glaring at her "goodbye mother"

"Seth you get back here you worthless child!" She screamed at me as I walked away. I wiped some angry tears away. I wonder if the hotel will take me in.
