Lilith's pov

I paced around nervously. Lucifers meeting couldn't have gone worse. Now we're standing here wondering what we're going to do.

"I got a question" Baxter raised his hand "How come every time his highness talks to Heaven we get in deeper and deeper shit?"

"It's not her fault" Charlie rushed to his defence "Angels are just--"

"Fucking assholes" Adam spat.

"...Difficult. But Lucifers trying his best" I said firmly.

"Yeah, well, his best is turning out real well so far" angel sighed.

"And where is the fearless leader anyway? Isn't it about time for another "doomed-to-fail" plan?" Baxter rolled his eyes.

"he's upstairs" I informed them "Coming up with something, I'm sure, in our room. Alone" I looked away, feeling less than confident.

"Hmm" alastor smirked as he vanished into black smoke. I had a bad feeling about this.

Lucifer's pov

I was hidden under the covers softly crying while Charlies old toys Razzle and Dazzle comfort me with Tissues. While I was wallowing in my own self pity Alastor appears, approaching my bedside.

"Oh Lucifer you look an absolute mess" he said mocking

"Ugh, go away, Alastor" I threw a pillow at him.

Alastor sits down on her bed while I hid under the covers.

"Now, now is that any way to act after picking a fight with all of Heaven and dooming everyone you love?" He pulled the covers off me.

"I have enough on my mind without hearing your sadistic idea of a joke, asshole" I wrapped myself under the covers again.

"Who's joking?" He appeared, laying beside me. I yelped, falling off the bed "You have a captive audience downstairs waiting to hear what kind of inspiring performance you have planned next"

"Ugh, I can't. How can I face them after failing them all so hard?" I looked out the window.

He placed his hands on my shoulders "I wouldn't say you failed them. This is more like a chance to prove just how serious you are"

"Is killing my own kind really the only way I can be taken seriously" I stared out the window, feeling conflicted.

"You'll have to make a choice your highness. It's them or us. I know you'll make the correct choice" he patted my shoulder before disappearing.

I stepped outside and caught sight of Adam's room. Outside were pictures of us. There was a picture of him and lute flipping off the camera with the label my bitch! The other was a picture of the rest of us posing for the camera with the label these bitches.

"Hic" I let out a soft sob.

"Lucifer?" I turned around to see Lilith standing in the corridor, watching me. I turned away from her.

"I'm sorry...I'm...I'm just so scared. What if we lose? I mean sure we got lucky last time but how long until our luck runs out"

"You've, already done so much" she started to sing as she began to walk towards me "So many lives you've changed. So many souls you've touched" she placed a hand on my cheek "And in the end, if it's only me you've saved"

"There's something that I've been dying to say" I joined in "More than anything, More than anything, you need you to know I love you more than anything"

"More than anything" we held each other close and kissed deeply.

Ables pov

I sharped my spear as my eyes hardened. My plan was planned to the very last detail. All that's left to do is carry it out.
