Lucifers pov
"This is your big plan!?" I yelped as we stood on the rooftop, watching as a terf war raged on.
"That's right" she nodded, handing out weapons "we're going to practice our fighting skills. Buckle up buttercups cause you boys are about to become men!" An explosion caused her hair to sway, showing off her satisfied smile.
"Fuck yeah!" Adam rushed to the edge excitedly "let's make some fucking heads roll"
"Adam wait" I called out to him but he ignored me, jumping off the roof to fight.
"Well I can't let him have all the fun" lute grinned as she jumped down with him.
"Lute not you too"I protested.
"Uh could I possibly bow out of this?" Vox asked nervously.
"You've skipped enough lessons vox" she picked him up and held him over her head "you're a part of the hotel now act like it!" She threw him off the roof. He screamed loudly as he went down.
"My turn my turn!" Nifty bounced excitedly. Lilith picked her up and was about to threw her when-
"Lily stop!" I grabbed nifty out of her arms. I can feel it, we're going to have our first fight.
Voxs pov
I landed in the rubble with a painful thud. I sat up, rubbing my TV head in annoyance. Why did I have to get dragged into this? Alastor isn't even here for me to show off to!
"Gah!" Adam crushed a sinners head with his bear hands. I watched as he continued his rain of carnage.
"You're a pretty good fighter for a porn star" I muttered.
"Yeah go fuck yourself" he shot me a glare "I didn't ask for this life"
"What do you mean by that?" I narrowly dodged the attack.
"You don't know? I thought you heard plenty when you spied on me" I shrunk down at the his angry words "my wife owns my soul. I have no choice in what happens me"
"I didn't know" I looked away guiltily.
"Well now you do!" He slammed two sinners heads together "the hotel was the only place I felt safe and you ruined that for me. Even now it feels like you're just here for shits and giggles. You're not a part of this team"
I noticed someone sneaking up behind him, knife in hand "I am a part of this team!" I pushed him out of the way and punched the guy in the face, causing an electrical current to run through his body "I'm here. 100%"
"Good to know" he nodded, a smile returning to his face.
"Keep up boys. I'm about to outrank you" lute sliced a guy in half. Scary!
"Not on our watch" Adam placed a hand on my shoulder "Come on kid, let's wreak shit up!"
"Right!" I nodded determinedly as we ran back out into battle.
Lucifers pov
"Lilith this is insane" I tried to reason with her "we're trying to make them better people not turning them into soldiers!"
"And what good has it done us!" She yelled "heaven is ignoring us again Lucifer and we're running out of time. I just want them to be able to protect themselves"
"You don't know that" I smiled reassuringly "We still have three months to convince them-"
"You're so optimistic" she turned her back to me "you gave up so much for me. What good am I if I can't do the same"
"Lilypad I don't need you to sacrifice anything for me-" I tried to convince her but she held her hand up.
"I need to be alone"
"Okay, get home soon" I reluctantly pulled away, taking everyone home.
Lilith's pov
"When I saw your face" I sang as I jumped from building to building "you made me feel like a stranger in a brand new place and it felt so good to be understood" I smiled softly at the memory of how we first met "and there's so much that I wish that I could say"
"So I'll be your armour. Do whatever it takes I'll make the mistakes. I'll spend my life being your partner"
I looked down at my people below. Families were living their everyday life. It scared me, knowing that their lives could be snuffed out in three megur months. I could help but think how I would feel if I lost Charlie or Lucifer.
"I need to go home"
*Time skip*
I headed inside to see vox, Adam and lute sharing a drink and laughing together. I smiled softly. I guess my crazy exercise worked after all.
My thoughts were cut off by Lucifer tackle hugging me "you don't have to give anything up" he said firmly "we're partners lil. It's not a competition"
"You're right" I stroked his hair tenderly "I'm sorry Luci"
"Thank goodness" he sighed in relief before resting his head against my chest, forcing me to crack a smile.
He's my everything.
