Lilith's pov

"Camilla!" I stood outside her building "I know what you did during the extermination. We can talk about it in there or I can yell about it out here!"

I've hit rock bottom. My husband and daughter despise me. Maybe if I can find the key to stopping the angels they'll forgive me.

Suddenly the door opened. Camilla met me with an intense glare "hello your highness. How may I help you?"

I took a deep breath and faced her "I want to know what you did to kill that angel"

"I refuse"

"Why!" I started to lose my temper "you have no reason to hide the truth now"

"Come now my queen you're a mother too" her glare held a vulnerability "You should understand why this must stay a secret"

"You did it to protect them" I whispered "I can understand that but if you want to continue keeping them safe you have to help me fight them before they take out our people"

"You make a fine point" she jumped down, kicking me in the chest "angels attack quickly and ruthlessly. If you don't intend to lose to them again my queen you're going to have to be a lot faster than that"

I smirked. Finally we're getting somewhere.

*Time skip*

"Gah!" I fell over once again as she kicked me in the back. I got up with an angry expression "how the hell is this teaching me anything? You do realise we're running out of time yes?"

"You're getting quite ansty. Something you're not telling me?" She stared at me suspiciously.

"My personal life is none of your business" I growled.

"True but you must put it all at the back of your mind if you want to be truly strong" she threw my sword back at me "I see you driven by your deep detestation. Your every step is stroked with animus. You need a different type of motivation, or there's no way that you can handle this. I know you're thirsting for vengeance Lilith you're out for blood, but you'll only stand a chance if you're out for love"

"Out for love, love" she was on the defensive, all I could do was block "Think of who you care about, protect them and be out for love, love! You can fight without gloves as long as you're out for love"

"Fuel yourself with the fear of losing that somebody who's your reason to live" my eyes widened at her words. Lucifer, Charlie, even Adam and lute. All my people. I couldn't bear losing any of them "harness your heart and you can't help choosing to fight with all you can give"

"I know you're thirsting for vengeance Lilith you're out for blood, but you'll only stand a chance if you're out for love" I stood up with a smirk. Her words were finally starting to make sense.

This time I was the one on the defensive, driving her into a corner. Now that my mind was clear I felt like I could do anything. No angel was going to put me down again.

The fight ended with me pinning her to the ground, sword to her throat. She smiled "you're ready"

I pulled my sword away "so what's the secret?"

"Angelic weapons" she stood up "stab them in the right place and they will die"

"We can kill them with their own weapons. Talk about poetic justice" I chuckled before turning to Camilla "how much angelic metal do you have?"
